Raptor Ridge Lodge
It is a lovely place to stay. The view of the dam is beautiful, and the sunsets are stunning. It's very peaceful and quiet. Our hostess was lovely. The chalets have a very rustic feel to them, which we loved. Views from the stoep are stunning, with springbuck and wildebeest grazing in the field ahead. Great place to relax. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Will not recommend. Maintenance non existing. They say it is a lodge but it is more for backpackers. Very disappointing. There is no small fridges in the rooms, you share one with all the rooms

Tranquil rest stop ....isolated from the bustle of the main dam. Comfortable rooms, beautiful views of the dam. Friendly helpful host!

Perfect place for a sleep over between Cape Town and JHB/ Pretoria. Affordable, cosy and friendly. Basic and off grid, beautiful nature views. Tannie Bets, is friendly and accommodating. Ok . Good night. Long road tomorrow.

It was the most horrible experience ever. It is very dirty, there are carpets everywhere and it is not washed. No maintenance is done on those houses. The bath towels are also frayed and the bedding is too small for the bed and is dirty. And you share a fridge with everyone that lives there. Would not recommend the place to anyone at all. It is not worth R600 a night at all.

Raptor Ridge Lodge
Had a great stay over on our way down to the coast. We arrived in time to go hiking up the mountain it the afternoon.Then the next morning I went for a sunrise run up onto the ridge to see the sunrise.Our hostess, Bets, was really friendly and welcomed us and showed us around, offering the kids hot water bottles to keep them warm.The only downside was the trophies on the walls and the hunters going out the next morning that freaked my son out.

Such a nice view and spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Power runs off gas and solar, but there is beaty in simplicity. Had no issues during our stay.

Very beautiful and tranquility atmosphere of the outdoor. Very quiet and beautiful view of the dam. The hostess is very helpful and let you feel as you are part of the family/ place. The place is beautiful solar power, hot water and outdoor just what you need after a long drive. A nice resting place also between Colesburg and Bloemfontein
