Livingstone Hospital

Very Terrible expereine,waited for 3 hours to be assied by a doctor but not any as yet. No sign of a doctor and nurses just walk pass as nothing ,but yet they swore oath to pledge themselvwes to humainyy.Totaly Unacppeptable!(BEAR II MIND THE ER WAS NOT EVWN BUSY?

Against all hearsay’s about service and environment at the institution something very powerful is said about the level of professionalism, prompt response, well trained and highly dedicated staff. From senior doctors, nurses, interns, support staff like general cleaners and porters faltering them would be close to impossible. But I will always take my hat off to staff at Ward 2A because to them coming to duty is a calling and they embrace every minute of being at the hospital.

Filthy, neglected, no medication - not even panado, people wait for days to be seen and are sent home with nothing. Extremely sick babies are unattended to. This is a place people go to die. It should close down. Yet another example of horrific governance in the EC.

Horrible hospital. Go in for a scan and leave with bruises, strokes and heart attacks. They leave you for hours, dying or not. The whole hospital is dirty, no clean beds or bedding. The staff is self centered and only there for gov pay. Its sickening to know people who took an oath to help the sickly is so USELESS!!! See the dirty toilet

I am appalled by the treatment from the staff at this hospital!!!! My sister was in a serious car accident and arrived around 21:30, she was only assisted after almost 6 hours! She was left there screaming for help with her scars out in the open. We requested for her to be taken to a private hospital and the authorisation was made by the doctor and we had to wait for another 5-6 hours!!!! Imagine begging for over 10 hours to someone to be transferred to a private hospital! The staff has no regard for human life. I have to thank the two security guards that showed ubuntu and kept my sister and parents calm, and the doctor that came in the morning and immediately assisted my sister, God will bless them truly. Otherwise, I have no words for the trauma section at that hospital.

Been waiting here since 8 and ever one was helped but me ... So unprofessional... Had to keep all the pain to my self ... The one worker came to sit here on his phone for hours must be very nice to get paid for not working ... My first and last experience here maybe I don't understand how they work here for in Cape Town things are more in order and people are more helpful towards every one in need of help...

Filthy 5th world country hospital totally disgusted with staff lack of care and professionalism.The filthy beds, mattresses and bedside table with 3 legs is a disgrace. I am relieved my brother was discharged from Ward 1 A todayI trained at Livingstone Hospital 1967 till 1971 left in 1982If you entered hospital with whatever the reason you will leave with a disease .Linda ClarkeAustralia

Service here has improved dramatically since my last visit here 4 years ago. The processes have been streamlined, and waiting times significantly reduced. I am very impressed. Signage could be improved, and the installation of a map board is recommended.

It's a good hospital but some employees isn't very helpful when you need help. For example, finding the ward a patient you're looking for is laying, and some employees are rude. There's a low percentage of employees (including security) that actually help you with the information you need.
