I carried out a major service on my car the past weekend and upon inspection by the workshop where the car was being serviced, I was informed of a possible oil leak from the gearbox. I called Rene from Mayfair Gearbox on Saturday morning as the gearbox was still under warranty by the Johannesburg branch which serviced the gearbox 6 months ago. He advised me to bring my car in first thing Monday morning. I was very impressed by the extremely friendly staff during my visit. I was treated with great professionalism by Rene and his team. Rene and his team attended to the issue which was nothing major but I was kept well informed of the progress of my car even while it was being monitored. My car was ready by the end of the day. It is very rare to get such great service these days. I highly recommend Mayfair Gearbox Durban which are also an RMI approved company. I very big thank you to Rene and his team.

I had my Ranger gearbox reconditioned by Mayfair Gearbox Durban, after almost 450 000 km of wear. It was expensive, but they pride themselves on using genuine parts on which they offer a 1-year, unlimited mileage warranty.My gearbox is now perfect once more, and I certainly got all I paid for, plus, they washed and vacuumed my vehicle too.I recommend Mayfair Gearbox Durban.

Disgusting how one gets treated after they screw you over and damage your vehicle!

Absolutely pathetic! My vehicle spent three weeks in their workshop in Pinetown. That after being in Pretoria bracnh for a week. In total four weeks and five gearboxes with Mayfair. It still sounds like a bucket of bolts was thrown into the gearbox. They blocked me on whatsapp as I complained against Pinetown branch for stealing my diesel and damaging my vehicle inside (trying to get something in writing). Please don't waste time or money with these people!

Had to have my Gearbox Repaired, went to a different company that quoted me an unreal amount, Rene and crew at Mayfair did their investigation and the repair was done at a quarter of the price, I believe that the other place was just trying to inflate the price for investigations instead of sorting out the actual issue as per the diagnostic fault code, I thank Rene and team for their honest and excellent service and Nadia for constant updates as to progress, appreciate it !

Excellent service to Rene and team kp up the awesome service from the onset of the prob to the very end which is when the vehicle was delivered by an exceptional team never got the nme of the two gentlemen but u guys rock will definitely recommend Mayfair tnxs

In October 2020 I took my BMW X3 2 liter Diesel to Mayfair Gearbox in Pinetown..to Rene and his team.Grarbox Centre in Pmburg and Imtec were hopeless and failed to sort my gearbox issues. Mayfair were professional..efficient and thorough My one year warranty just expired..but the vehicle is driving absolutely beautifully. I am totally satisfied and will gladly recommend people to utilize Mayfair Geabox..
