Very responsive community Police Station

Not always the most helpful

Was so disappointed today at Gonubie SAPS when a lady that is a Police Officer there said to me, “yoooh sister you like this police station you always here with your so many coppies to certify, you keep on coming and we always tell you the same thing that your coppies are too many.” She said this in a very undermining manner. I am a community member of Gonubie that’s why I use that Police station, I’m looking for a job that is why I always go there when there are Posts to apply for, I don’t go everyday but when there are Posts I go there for certification. I forgot to check the ladies name but she is light in complexion it was the second time she showed me unprofessionalism. Hope she will change, I felt so offended the way she belittled me in front of the people in such a way that I don’t see my self going there again for help, certification etc. It’s a pity other Officers there are very welcoming even today they tried correcting the lady but it was late. Thanks

I thank Gonubie Police Station for listening to me rant and rave about the goings on here as well as promising to go and patrol down at the Spar at the beach front. There have been motorbikes for the Pizza shop there driving in a high speeds in the wrong way when it clearly says you cannot drive in there from that side. It happens time and time again while I wait for my daughters to finish work down there. I have watched a small child run out of Pizza shop right in front of the one motorbike, terribly frightening. There are also vehicles driving in there and when people complain the person who is at fault threatens the other person. Then the racism happens, it appalls and frightens me watching it. All this nonsense needs to stop in South Africa and people who are responsible for these attitudes need to be put away for a very long time or punished for their attitudes.
