Riebeek Valley Hotel

It's a beautiful grand dame coming of age, bit neglected, old world charme, quirky, understated and very atmospheric. Like most old victorian counrty hotels there are issues and niggles but the basics function, the staff is super friendly and we will be back. Do not come here if you want a perfect designer hotel. The gardens are truly amazingly wild and beautiful. Lots of love has originally gone into creating this incredible garden.

The lights in my room was not working. I reported it and no one assisted me or enquired if I am ok, instead I had to call continuously.Only one(1) TV channel and I could not even watch the news. Not impressed with this accommodation at all and will most likely not return.

We stayed overnight at this beautiful venue recently to celebrate a special occasion and we were treated royally.We were accommodated in the bridal suite, which made us feel very special. We enjoyed a delicious dinner as well as breakfast the following morning, served by friendly, attentive staff, before setting off to explore the interesting surroundings. We highly recommend this venue. It exceeded our expectations and is certainly worth a return visit!

Not a very good experience. The new manager gave us attitude and made us feel super unwelcome.. they did not tell us there is a wedding and a baby shower booked so we had to wait till after 5 before we could use the pool. When we finally got to the pool there where two guys that sat and watched us swim. And the one guy tried to take my friends phone.. we could not approach management as he had serious attitude problems and was totally unapproachable. Then we had wedding guest come in to our room that did not want to leave. Then came the morning and on our way to the breakfast we got side eyed again by mister manager that did not even greet us back when we said morning.. so we ordered the full breakfast and it was 2 egg and 2 pieces of bacon.. lucky for us there was cold meats, cheeses, breads and porridge with yogurt to fill us up. Was not a pleasant stay at all. The staff was at least helpful and sweet.

Business trip with peaceful moments of exhale in gorgeous garden and indoor pool for a swim to bless my body with a boost.

Nice quiet hotel nearby lots to do.

It is an old and beautiful hotel. All the rooms have aircons which helps in the heat. The breakfast buffet was delicious with homemade jams, fresh fruit and yummy muffins. We took a swim in the inside pool, it was at first freezing but once you get used to the water it becomes refreshing. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The gardens are beautiful too. I can recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to just relax and take in the fresh air.
