You can count on Waldo at the Old Tool Room for pretty much anything! Our company FullFacing needed to build a large and unique looking display unit to showcase our various products. The Old Tool Room built the display at a very competitive price, in a fraction of the time we're used to and the workmanship was excellent. We deal with many manufacturers and artisans, and the most common gripe is getting regular and honest progress reports - Waldo kept us in the loop at all times. Well done :)

Waldo and his team are incredible. I had an old monks bench which my husband refused to put in our house as it was such a dark, heavy piece of furniture. Waldo worked his magic- my husband couldn’t believe it was the same piece of furniture. It’s now proudly displayed in our entrance area. It’s a rarity these days to find artisans who deliver on time and with such care and quality. You can see it’s Waldo’s passion. He is currently restoring my grannies very sentimental writing desk from 1940- can’t wait for the final tweaks to be done. I highly recommend Waldo and his team for any furniture refurbishment.

Waldo designed , built and installed cupbourds and a study workstation which incorporated a curved wrap around desk and curved shelving to fit the corner. We are thrilled with the finished unit

Waldo's carpentry skills are outstanding! He helped us design and build a flat pack home studio that is easily assembled and disassembled. We gave him a very simple brief and he figured the rest out, sent us drawings and built it in less than a week. He also fixed our dining room table after being damaged in our move. He was fantastic to work with and I highly recommend him!

Waldo Shaw from The Old Tool Room provides exceptional services for a wide variety of things. His knowledge and skills with carpentry and all things building are a great asset to your project. He has a background in industrial design which plays a huge role in the way that he tackles a project. He will often offer insight and knowledge that you perhaps had not considered. His site is always clean and well run, his carpentry products are top class and long lasting and not to mention the story that comes with each piece.
