Rat used to have the best service in Grahamstown, what is happening now is terrible, the worse possible service one can get. Without fail, everytime I visit the place, the service is supper slow, it takes 30 to 50 minutes to get an order. Terrible terrible service.

Personally, I will never visit this place again. Two times in a week. The first time we were served half cooked beef it up and it was a bad in quality. You can literally smell the raw flavor of oil which might be off. Now, the second day, we waited for 50 minutes just to see if we are attended at all or not. We planned to order pizza but a different one. No one came to us to attend. One person came and turned on the light, and that was the end of the order. That was some kind of disrespectful behavior from the group. Dear authority, if you really want to take care of this businesses, please look into this issue. I am done with Rat & Parrot. And, please try to serve which is only ordered. We were served different things and we paid for it. This is a trivial thing to complain, but at least try to attend your customers. Good bye to Rat & Parrott.

I have had their Thai Chilli Chicken pizza a couple of times and it is very juicy and tasty and will highly recommend it.

Very nice place for watching real time live matches such as world cups, Rugby champions and grab a beer and relax. Its also a chilled place to go and dine in, they have their famous potato and pizza selection and my all time fave at rats is the Jam jars❤️ oh best beverage. You can also book a private space for your functions business meetings and get to gathers. They also have karaoke night I think its on Wednesday or Tuesday but its one hell of a night ❤️❤️. Very nice staff, love them to bits.

Went to eat at this restaurant seeing that I was in the area. The food arrived so fast and the drinks. The waitress was so attentive and the food and drinks were great. The prices were relatively good. The venue is like a bar type of set up which was nice for relaxing especially after a very long day

Food OK, staff very dodgy. Check your bill as they will pocket half your cash before they get to the till.Otherwise they will charge each member of your party for the whole bill.Basically a skelm dive.
