St Mikes Book Exchange & Sales

I absolutely love this book store and all the hidden gems it has to offer, at affordable prices. But unfortunately my usual monthly visit was ruined by a sour face. I went in and greeted politely and was grunted at (I assume a greeting method) by a young blonde girl. I then went on to look around and browse for about 45 minutes. Not once did she even look up from her cellphone to ask me if she could help me. I then collected the books I wanted and went on to pay, she then rudely stated her card machine doesnt tap after I politely told her my card is an insert only. I couldn't see her machine so that is why I said my card doesn't tap, as I do everywhere I go. My traditional visit to the bookstore was ruined by the sour attitude of a bored little girl. Pitty really, as I wont be supporting this shop anymore.

I still believe it is the Best Bookshop on the South Coast!! Love the Shop ! Can spend hours there just browsing. Always find my favourites and walk out loaded !! Burt , the owner has employed extra help to assist him, he is there mornings and the lady does afternoons.HURRY HURRY to get your 2023 calendar from them !! It contains all the necessary information regarding school terms, holidays etc. If you lucky Burt will treat you to a Lollipop as well !! Well Done Burt !! All Success!! Definitely recommend a visit!!

It has aircon!! And a lot of books!! Please seperate Afrikaans and English childrens books to make it easier and arrange alphabetically by author if possible.

What an incredible hidden gem. Every book you could think of is there. Great prices and excellent service. Can't wait for our next visit and exchange.

Really good book store, I mostly went for the large variety of comic books and soft toys for my pets.... Extremely affordable and I will definitely go again.

St Mike's has everything Books, comic books, stuffed animals as well as beautiful shells

If you have time you can spend hours browsing through the books. It is however quite disorganized in a organized way, if one can put it like that. The prices are very reasonable.

Overwhelming as to how many books there are. If you a book lover you will spend hours here. Bring in your old book and pay half price on the one you taking.

I literally walked in and hadn't even taken two steps when I saw one of my fave authors on the left. Walked out 5 minutes later with two new books. What an amazing gem of a place

It's a decent place with plenty of books but the person at the counter doesn't know where any of the books are in the shop so you will have to find them yourself.
