We were planning to stay at The Big Tree Guest House but last minute lost our booking due to someone else grabbing it before us. Madeleine thankfully helped us out with a booking at the same price for another guest house in Hopetown. Service like this is most appreciated.

The Big Tree Guest House
Came into town and the whole country didn't have electricity, but the owner went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Everything neat and tidy, all the mod con's, as the power came on later that night, and they have air conditioning!No on site parking, but my full car was just as I left it the next day.I would recommend to my friends.

Unfortunately we arrived a bit late (20:45). There was nowhere to have dinner in town. Fortunately the owner warned us to find food elsewhere. The accommodation was basic & to be honest a little dissappointing.

Hopetown itself is a beautiful place. Small little town with sweet people around you.Guest house itself provides you with nice refreshing feeling. It does have what it promises, like aircon secured parking and other facilities.

Wasn't really pet friendly as advertised . Our dogs had to sleep.in our car as owners dogs were running around. Also our dogs had to.keep quiet so as not to disturb the breeding birds. For travellers without pets The Big Tree was fine
