I had a great time here.Was impressive that they brew their own wines.Cos I don’t take alcohol, requested for non alcoholic wine - didn’t like the taste.Notwithstanding, the food was great and tasty.The attendants were also courteous.I loved the setting of the restaurant, the designs and sit arrangement.Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely exquisite. I grew up in Hermanus before the wine estates were a thing. Close to some of the more familiar names, La Vierge stands back for none of them! Very popular on the day we visited and the wine tasting, by the amazing Direy as hostess, was amazing. The views and setting are spectacular and I would recommend this venue for special occasions, for road trips with special people and groups, and basically any excuse you can imagine. The weather on the day was impeccable and I would feel very, very comfortable, based on everything of a rating higher than a 10/10. Most definitely one of the nicest wine estates, and wine experiences, in the Western Cape.

Had such a great time here, food was excellent staff were on the ball, helpful and friendly, well done guys. Worth a visit if you're in this area, oh and buy the basting sauce very yummy

We only popped in to enjoy coffee, dessert, and a view after a day of wine tasting. And what a view! Coffee was great, and their cakes / desserts were large portions and can easily be shared by two. We ordered the lemon meringue, chocolate brownie, and creme Brulee. Service was a bit slow when we were there, but the overall experience was lovely.

It has taken me over 20 years to get to taste Bruce's incredible cooking. He's not a cook but a chef. A quick visit to the culinary heaven of a kitchen where the dishes propagate into our taste buds justifies the 5 star culinary skills of Bruce and staff.We first started off with wine tasting (and coca cola tasting for our 11 year old) that set the atmosphere. Our wine tasting host was incredibly knowledgeable on the wines and made our tasting so much more fun and relaxed whilst treating our daughter with the same respect as an adult.Then the food! From the incredible views over the valley (even on a rainy day) to our really chilled friendly waiters made for an incredibly relaxed sitting. The food was just amazing, well cooked to order with a chef that is in love with his art.

Beautiful restaurant with great food. Be sure to book your spot ahead of time, otherwise you probably won't get a spot.The onion starter is an absolute must have. Both the rump and the ribs are top class as always, and do yourself a favour and ask for extra basting sauce! The crème-bruleé didn't meet my expectations, although it looked very pretty.The waitress could have been a bit friendlier, although the pressure and the constant flow of customers was the likely reason that she wasn't all smiles ;)

Beautiful setting.Fast service.Great food.I could not believe that they had an onion as a meal on the menu! It was really good.The lentil bobotie is simply out of this world!I must be honest I did not enjoy the wine though.It is about R400 a head to dine here.Would definitely return for the cuisine.

Food was mostly very good, my companion felt the salads could have been fresher. Service was good and flexible on the details of the menu, but there seemed to be a little confusion about which waiter did what. Good atmosphere, fairly empty at the time, might be a bit noisy when full. No shade parking.
