Overall, my experience at Chicos was not good. The quality of the food was poor, with dry and overcooked chicken, steak, and sausages that needed to be smothered in gravy in order to be edible. The wait for the stir fry was also too long, and there were not enough staff present to manage the large number of customers. While there was a good variety of food available, the quality was very low.On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the service was good, though they seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers. The decor of the restaurant was nice, but the menu did not have a great variety of options. The pricing of R250 per person was unreasonable given the poor quality of the food. In the future, I would like to see fresher, less dry and chewy food at Chicos.

I used to dine at chicos for many many years with no complaints. Recently I went to have supper and was very disappointed. The food selection had dropped tramendously as most of my favorite dishes had been removed. Some staff are super friendly, and some very rude. Had the experience where I was waiting for assistance while 2 of them were busy chit chatting. The food has just changed drastically, no variations and tasteless. There also used to be a live band performance during the weekends. I will not be dining at chicos anymore, not worth the money spent.

We've eaten here at least once a year for the past 15 years and it's sad to see how the quality of the food has declined so much in that time. The selection of food has become shockingly limited and even the food that is available is so dry and tasteless. It's been like this for a couple years now but we used to enjoy the stir fry, which is the only reason we still ate here but even that isn't worth it anymore. Won't be eating here again.

Affordably priced buffet. The food wasn't too bad. What spoiled it for me was the behaviour of the other patrons. People pushing in and not waiting their turns and mixing serving spoons.

We stayed at Wildcoast Sun not to long ago but we were very disappointed with the food from Chicos. Two nights in a row they had the exact same options on the menue. Considering it is R250.00 per person this wasn't the best value for money.While there is a variety, having the same things both nights is no fun.The stir fry however is extremely delicious and it's my favourtie thing to order!There's a range of desserts as well but I find the best tasting one to be the hot custard. The others aren't as appetizing (personal opinion) .

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Wide variety of dishes at breakfast and dinner catering for vegetarians as well.Waffle and stir fry stations are a hit!

Disappointing.Staff are so unwelcoming and pass comments in Zulu. Not realizing that some of us understand the language.Sun international, please review where you guys are going wrong and if your staff are happy with their jobs, because they shouldn't be reflecting their frustration on paying customers.Your buffet has a range of tasteless food and the only thing worth eating is your stir fry.

I went there for Buffet dinner, in October 202 and again March 2021 thinking that something would have changed. To my disappointment not at all. The selection of food offered has dropped drastically. Only serving chilli lamb or chicken curry, or dry beef roast. No Pork or Fish like prawns, mussels nothing!! Then you have rice and roast potatoes as only start. No pap, steamed bread, since we are in SA and Eastern cape and most customers are black.. Dessert the chefs need to go to Pastry school shame, coz their level of baking is measured to cakes sold at Shoprite. I will not be going there again unless it's Free but never again to waste my money sorry. It's R185 excluding drinks but it should be R50.
