Karen is the best and most precise beauty technician I’ve ever come across in my life. Every time I come to her with the most challenging nail designs and outrageous requests she not only “nails” them but also enjoys the challenge! Karen has always gone right out of her way for me as her client. I feel like a valued customer with every interaction, and I have immense respect for her. I refuse to go anywhere else for these things anymore. Thanks for everything Karen!

They were extremely friendly. The owner helped make me comfortable. She changed the design when I was not happy. Loved the hand scrub. All of them were very welcoming.

Honestly I thought a lot before doing this review. I went to Karen Mcbirds studio on the 18th of March 2022. I did my nails there and the lady was filing my nails to the point it was hurting me and I was telling her but she only apologised and continue to still filing excessively. Okay, she did the rest of nails.I came back there in the first week of April, on a Saturday and I went there for the soak off, since they told me that is better to do with them since they were the ones who did it. I went there and the issue with filling the nails too much, happened again. Besides, the soak off process felt rushed. We did gel overlay and after a week it seemed that there was still product on my nails. From that day until today my nails and my sister's never recover and we tried everything, even nail hardener but they always break. In my life I have never experience such thing. We went to another salon and they confirmed that there was still gel in my nail and that the gel used was very toxic. I am just disappointed, since I really trusted them to take care of my nails. Below is the image on the day we went to the other salon and the other is just the current state of one of fingers.Answering: I did say previously that I went to the other salon to take the rest of gel that was left in my nails and they told me that in fact the gel was not advised. The second picture I provided was of the gel that was still in my nails. As you can see part of the nails still has the material. Please do not dismiss my situation, by comparing to others.

So glad after I stumbled upon Karen's page on instagram and decided to pay her a visit. She does quality, beautiful and affordable nails which is hard to come by. She is such a lovely and kind woman. Good value for money and I love that she can do anything nail art/design I want.
