So you wanna buy online.Local online stores are great and are generally good at honouring their product warranties,but don’t always stock a wide range or the latest kit.Overseas online stores have the latest and greatest range and often appear a lot cheaper(until you add up the exchange rate, courier costs, import duties, VAT etc.)but don’t always ship to South Africa (manufacturer licence agreements, or too much schlep).There are ways of establishing a pseudo-address there (either yourself, or via an intermediate),or you can try Scotts Shipping Service, a Pretoria-based outfit who do it for you, at a small fee.I wanted the latest rendition of an ASUS hybrid-drive laptop (only the previous-gen available here).I sent Scott my request (i.e. a link to the overseas store’s product), he emailed back a quote,I did an EFT, Scott emailed an Invoice, and kept me up to date with my order’s progress.It arrived at my doorstep yesterday.Seamless & painless process; professional & friendly service.

Pictures say it all and one month after the claim was submitted no resolution.Actual response from the owners below...You were informed very clearly that the claim could take up to 90 days to process.You think pissing me off is going to help?Your claim will be paid back once it is processed

Excellent service from start to finish. I ordered an obscure remote control unit which I could get nowhere but in the US - Scotts handled everything and kept in touch every step of the way - all I had to do was sit back and wait .
