YDE - Gateway

Love this place..so Great to support our young designers ..they are fantastic ..different clothes for going out fancy or casual

I really needed an elegant white dress so I thought YDE would be my go to store. I visited both the Gateway and Pavillion stores and found a dress that I really liked however they had a few sizes left and most of the dresses had been messed with make-up and stained really bad. One of the consultants from the Gateway store had advised to purchase the dress online as it will come directly from the warehouse untouched with no marks so I did just that. My dress had arrived I fetched it and headed home, as I took the dress out of the packaging I noticed a huge stain at the back and the front was badly damage, I then called the store immediately and took the dress back. All I got from the store was excuses and was told by the manager that I'd get a call from their head office. It's been a week and no call received. YDE Gateway you guys have pathetic customer services.

YDE is made of young South African designers work in one shop.My favourite designer in YDE is Khosi Nkosimainly because I love traditional or print outfits.Expensive but quality clothing. Mostly found in malls like Gateway & Pavilion Mall.

I purchased a garment at YDE Gateway on a debit card and after a week went on to return the garment for a refund. The cashier explained that because my purchase was done on a debit card I would have to be refunded cash. However, they did not have cash to refund me as sales was slow since the morning. I was told to leave the garment and come back to check if they had any cash sales. A short while later I went back to the store in hopes of getting my refund and unfortunately no sales at the time so no refund. Went back for a third time and was told a sale of R1100 was made but my purchase was more than that so a proportionate refund cannot be done. A full refund must be done for the value of the garment. The store took the garment on Sunday and it's Wednesday still no refund. In a time were technology is at the forefront why is YDE so backwards with refunds. Generally the stores do refunds and if paid by a debit card you are asked to insert the same card used for the purchase in order to do the refund. The sign at the cash point says return or refund within 14 days..it does not read if no sales for the day your refund cannot be processed!!! So I must make another trip to the store for what's rightfully mine. Beware people....refunds are not as ease as we expect it to be. I would love for the head office to contact me. Worst experience ever today in yde. The lady helping me to open a acc she mumbled in her language and my husband understood what she was saying. So disrespectful complaining to help a customer. Maybe give the job to someone who wants to work. Not complaining, opening acc and customer service is what you do. Not discussing in a certain language thinking others can't understand what you saying. U don't deserve your job if u can't do the job. Thank you to the Manager that was so amazing he made me feel super welcome after everything was done.

I visited YDE gateway today. Had the best experience ever. I was assisted my the store manager Darryl. He was extremely proffessional, friendly, helpful and a fun filled personality. I will always return to his store because of his service. Such a pleasure to be helped to the fullest. His customer service is amazing.

Excellent customer service! On 2 occasions this year I needed shoe that I saw online but my size was not available. The staff located it at other branches and had it brought to Gateway. They called me and kept me updated. Both times arrived on time. So glad we still have some stores that we can receive great service from!

Amazing Customer Service. Mbaly the sales lady assisted me over phone as i was in Richards Bay and she found exactly what i was looking for.She went above and beyond to assist me :)
