Upfront service excellent.(Edited review)Issue arised when returning trailer and awaiting refund of deposit.I have since posting the original review spoken to the owner and recommended the following:1. Employees that converse with clients should be consistent in their feedback. ( I was told a) refund would be done on Friday as I brought trailer back before 11:59am. b) On Monday that payments will be done on Monday as no one available to do payments over weekends c) on Tuesday morning that refunds are only done on Tuesdays and that my refund was released in the morning d) on Wednesday morning received a POP that payment was done on Tuesday at 17h56pm) None of these employees referred to a 3 working day wait before refunds are done - something which could have cleared the issue up on Friday morning when I dropped the tràiler)2. Amend signage in reception to address the 3 working day wait period. Whilst legally the company is protecting itself by (as per owner) stipulating this on the return notice (which I unfortunately did not see), it does not do anything for customer relations if this is not both verbally and with signage also brought under their attention.As stipulated in the beginning, the upfront service was excellent and should the issue with addressing the refund not have arisen, this would have been a 5* review.

Variety of trailers to choose from. Good advice and service

Waited over 2 weeks before my deposit was back in my account. On the contract you clearly say that deposit will be paid back within 3 workining days. Must be nice earning interest for so long with money that does not belong to you.

The deposit was a bit steep, but understandable. It's expensive trailers and they must try to make up, in some way, when stolen.Nice verity to choose from.Got the deposit immediately, after returning the trailer.If need to, I will make use of them again

Your service is extremely poor. I booked a trailer and i returned it on time. It's been 2 weeks full without my refund, i am told that the person who authorize the payment is not on duty and no one that can assist . I have been calling i have to wasted my time and airtime to calling you.

Paid deposit for trailer on 21 December. Received trailer 26 December and took it back by 8am 27 December. After 2 phone calls only refunded my deposit on January 16! Deposit was R2000. Unacceptable. Should have been refunded a week after the return. Yes was over festive season so was patient up to a point. They need to get their admin sorted out.

We requested a trailer to rent for a long trip over gravel roads from Getaway Trailer. We were very specific that we needed a solid trailer in good condition. We should have walked away when we first saw the trailer as two tires were so bald and misworn, the metal showed through. The wiring harness was shot. When we pointed this out, they insisted on fixing it. Fair enough. We took the trailer. 100 kms into our journey on tarred roads we noticed one wheel was not on the ground. When we inspected it the wheel could rock front to back on a rusty bolt. At this point we realized the trailer would never make it on our journey. So luckily we were able to rent an excellent trailer from National Trailer. But then the trouble started. Trying to get our money back made me feel like I had run into working with the mob. The owner denied there was anything wrong with the trailer. He flatly refused to refund me our money. He was insulting and harsh on the phone. He did refund the deposit finally. All I can say about this company is Getaway from them and rent from National Trailer instead. They give excellent service and have very good trailers for a slightly higher price.
