An amazing place to stay if you are ever in Cape Town. They offer self-catering accommodation with absolutely stunning views and the friendliest staff there is! They also have their own water supply which they sustainably maintain so showers are not a problem :) This is really my new favourite home away from home! Just note that you must love dogs if you want to stay here...but who doesn't? There's also a salon on the premises and a great kids play area. The rates are extremely affordable and overall it's just an amazing place to stay!

Grant and Sylvia were welcoming, advising and assisted us with a cot for our 5 month old and toys for our 2 year old. Great location under large shade trees. Water from top of Table Mountain flows down a stream next to the property

Great place. Felt at home as the owners welcome you in person and look after you well (e.g. they provided a box of toys for our kid to play with, and some milk in the fridge for immediate use), but also leave you to your own. The apartment is well maintained and has all the amenities you may need. It got a bit cold, but there are heaters for every room. Nice terrace with grill, pool, play area and great gardens that are well maintained and they are still working on actively. There are dogs on the property, but apart from the initial 'approval visit', they leave you be.

A gem of a getaway in Hout Bay, amazing gardens, tastefully decorated rooms and the hosts are absolutely amazing. Pet friendly gets an additional point. There is also an amazing Salon on the premises with the most incredible Hairdresser, Silvia is amazing and a gem of a person.

I had an amazing experience in this lodge and the family made me feel so welcomed❤️. Thank you Silvia you made me feel at home.The rooms are full of love, so much art I love, I loved my walk around the lodge mostly by the waterfall side. I would recommend the lodge at any day.

Grant is a great host and is very accomodating. We really enjoyed our stay due to the pet friendly nature of Waterland and the beautiful setting. Will definitely be back.

An absolutely amazing place and setting, ideal for families with or without dogs- our dog had an absolute amazing time with the other dogs. I can highly recommend spending time at Waterland

Such an oasis to come back to after a busy Cape Town day. Especially when you have children. Hearing the water of the river always there. Calming.The hosts are very hospitable, and accommodated our children with toys and a bike. So nice. Also a trampoline, swing, jungle gym etc. for the children.
