Maybe it was a bad day, but it was substandard considering the tourist prices they charge. The food arrived in dribs and drabs. The wait was long, but it was a busy day, so perhaps understandable. Only once the food arrived were we informed that they didn't have in stock what one of us ordered. He had to order afresh and wait again. I got ham instead of bacon on my sandwich, but I just ate it, because I didn't want to wait even longer. The food was perfectly acceptable otherwise, if not quite up to the prices they charge, compared to cheaper places in more mundane settings. Overall, an underwhelming and decidedly average experience. Hoping the bad service and botched orders were a one-off and not the rule. Certainly a lovely setting in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Nice Cafe. Delicious scones, coffee and ginger beer. Worth visiting after you have explored the beautiful gardens. We didn't have lunch, but seeing the food that came out- would recommend going there for a nice lazy lunch.

This restaurant is located inside kirstenbosch gardens which requires entrance, see website for details. The restaurant is clean and well organized with inside and outside seating. The food is fantastic especially their breakfast. The staff are friendly and attentive. Do note pensioners day, Tuesday, as the restaurant fills up very quickly and you might need to que.There is free parking and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended

Excellent food. Very nice compositions! Friendly staff! Loved it. Belgian waffle could‘ve been a little hotter when served, other than that, perfect!

We visited the Kirstenbosch Tea Room on Women's Day and the restaurant was therefore buzzing with activity. The waiter was very friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The restaurant serves a high tea for two for R350 which is delicious and not to pricey. The setting is also lovely as the restaurant is surrounded by mountains and lovely fynbos. Definitely a place to visit for a high tea!

We stopped here for a quick brunch after visiting the amazing gardens. Place was laid out nicely and we got seated immediately (No booking required). Our Waiter was nice and friendly, food was fresh and nicely prepared and the atmosphere was just amazing. I had the berries smoothie and it was super refreshing. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries

I enjoyed every meal there! Friendly staff and so peaceful. Eating there in the botanical garden is so nice, even if it just looks like a normal café.
