X-Bytes Repair Centre

The store is a little hidden away on the far right of the shipping centre's parking floor. I took three audio items for assessment. Friendly, quick, and helpful thus far. I will update my review once I can give information about quality and repairs. EDIT: (Only a few days later) I am extremely pleased with the service received from X-Bytes Repair Centre. Their quotation was sent to me on the same day, I approved the repairs, and the items in question were ready only a few days later. Everything is working perfectly, and the store also has a three-month warranty on repairs. Highly recommend!

Came in looking to fix an old-ish Sony tv that was not switching on and i had lost the remote. They fixed it and gave me the remote at a very reasonable price. they were so nice and helped me get it into my car when I came to pick it up. Very happy with the service I received.

HE HAS STOLEN MY TV!!!! After trying to fix my tv and doing a poor job I was told they need to take it to the “office” they won’t take my calls and wanted payment in full.

I sent in my PSS 3000VA UPS Inverter to X - Byte Repair Centre on Linksfield road - quotation number 2018423, it took them 2 weeks to evaluate it. They quoted me R 2700 for the repairs, R 800 was the repair of the DC to DC inverter and R 1900 for 6 x 12V batteries. When I went to X Byte, I requested the parts that where changed and they refused, I collected the PSS UPS Inverter and I sent the batteries for testing, & there was not fault found on the batteries, However the PSS UPS inverter still did not function. I then sent the unit to PSS in Longmeadow, only to find out XBYTE did not work on my unit as the entire unit was checked by PSS and found no work conducted, and the batteries where intact. A fuse was blown and that's the work that PSS has completed. I have proof of my customer repair order. Kindly advise if no work was conducted what did I pay for ?

Terrible serive. They will lie to you. They never get back to you. I would not recommend them to anyone.Trust me. They all a bunch of crooks. It's actually sadTook my TV in power light was flashing. I get told it's the lcd. But there was no damage when I took it in. Now clear signs of damage.Disgusting work ethic.Mistake taking it to them. Loss of money and time.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Took an amplifier to this company for repairs. LCD display was very feint. Quote was quick. They also pointed out that the amplifier outputs also needed repairs. I gave the go ahead for repairs to be done. Total of R1650.00. Invoice XBT2017089Collected the amp. LCD display is the same. The LCD display is exactly the same even though they charged me for the repairs.When I took the amp in for repairs I took it in wrapped in a towel. That is how i look after my stuff. On receiving the amp it is badly scratched and dented.This company is unethical for charging me for work not done. They also do not care about looking after customers goods. All they concerned about is getting the job and making money. I have had my amplifier for many years without a scratch on it. I am horrified that insurance companies use Xbytes Repair Centre. I would strong suggest that insurance companies look for a different service provider who is honest

These guys charged me R5k to fix my Yamaha receiver....after it was there for over a month they told me they can't fix it. They only refunded me half the money. Stay far away from these thieves. Had to get a lawyer to send them letters....they still to this day never paid me back. Quotation number XRA2014725. Amount paid R5124. I dealt with Keith Kasinabare. Receiver was never repaired. Collected it and took it to Yamaha who repaired it. Keith refunded me only R2000. Never got the balance. Have all correspondence via email.

I took a sub-woofer in for repairs. It came back and i paid for it. The repair didn't even last a day. They said they will fix it free of charge and if not they ensure a full refund.I waited a whole month only to get the speaker back in a worst condition than it was when i took it in and now they just don't know anything about refund.PLEASE, use 5 more minutes of your day and find a different repair shop. They are not worth your time.
