Loskop Dam Nature Reserve

What an extraordinary gem of a place. Such a pleasant surprise. Sad that we could not go all the way to the picnic site due to our car but enjoyed the scenery, animals and the drive.

The nature reserve needs animals ASAP, boring drive we had.

This place is amazing! So many animals to see and the landscape is beautiful! Can't believe it isn't advertised better. I wouldn't recommend going without a 4x4 though.

If there was an option to not give a star i would have not. It was such a bad experience i went there for a picnic and the picnic spot was so far.I definitely don't recommend this place.

It is a beautiful reserve with a lot of wildlife. The roads in the reserve is mostly accessible with a car but a high clearance vehicle is recommend. The overnight facilities is average, neat but not very clean, there is a fridge, gas stove, gas geyser, the power is unreliable, there is solar and a generator but it is not working all the time and there is no power outlets. Take your own battery lights and some power storage for electronic devices. Fishing is impressive and the dam is clean. Overall I was impressed with the reserve. I will recommend this place for a weekend break away.
