Salem Church
Salem is named for a peaceful outcome between the local Xhosa tribe and the incoming (invading?) 1820 settlers. It's a charming hamlet and the Methodist church has been in continuous use since settler days. In its earlier history, a road bisected the cricket pitch! Luckily traffic was light and a great deal slower then.
