Had my wedding ring adjusted, although it was a short notice they did it in time, the service was excellent as well as the communication its point on

Bought a gold band from them, they sized it perfectly and I'm very happy with it. Great price and efficient service. Doing another resize with them, and it was done in two days.

I love going there. They have beautiful jewellery. Often have specials. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to assist you.

RIP OFF- R10,000 to redesign my ring using by my diamond and gold, so paying only for the labour. The man who “quoted” me simply looked at the ring and thumb sucked an amount - he did not even weigh the ring.I went to the West Coast Village jewellers where my ring was weighed and I was quoted R1500.In short O’Brien jewellers are taking people for a ride. Do your homework and get other quotes.

Quick summary:Took a ring to be rezised after owning it for a week, stone fell out after resizing, business replaced it as goodwill gesture.Upon collection, quite disappoint to be spoken to like a naughty 6 year old from a bombastic, condescending jewellery, after my third trip in as many days.Service needs major attention and perhaps this business needs to review their customer service approach.As a paging customer, supporting a local business during a pandemic, one would presume thanks would be the default position.

I took my chain for a valuation to this jeweller out of interest. The lady at the counter told me my chain, which costed well over 30 thousand rand, was only worth between 3 and 5 thousand rand. A 35 gram 9ct white and yellow gold chain is worth between 3 and 5 grand?Response to owner:I have not in fact been smoking my socks. I've had my watch adjusted here, Ive bought batteries for that watch here, I have had that particular gold chains clasp replaced here and I have bought silverware from your silver stand. AND I've enquired about purchasing chains from you. All of these occured on seperate occasions. At the time I came in with a few of my friends to show them out of interest and presumably your employee got a kick out of devaluing it.
