Checkers Jean Avenue

Not too impressed with this checkers anymore. I used to come here often but a lot of things lately are expired and still on the shelves, I ordered 10 pancakes and they were all still raw and the mixture tasted very strange. And I waited 45min for 10 pancakes... Not sure why the quality and service has fallen so much!

I use Sixty60 to order groceries, have done so for over 3 years. Extremely disappointing in my opinion, as this is my closest store and therefore deliver my orders. I have been blocked from complaints as I 'abused' the system. The only times I have ever logged complaints was for expired stock delivered to me, most often fresh produce. I think they find the oldest produce on the floor for delivery, as walk in customers will not buy it. This is becoming a nuisance more than a convenience. The app KEEPS CRASHING, poor replacements and hundreds of out of stocks. Why have the cuppachino muffins on the app if you NEVER have stock??? Same with Ultima bread and a variety of dog food. I once ordered 5 packets of walnuts for my mom, the replacement they decided on was 5 tubes of walnut infused face wash, seriously??? But I am the one abusing the complaints section?? I ordered bananas on Monday and again today, both times overripe and bruised. Yes, I know going to a store is the best alternative, but not having a car is the reason I use the app. I am completely fed up with Sixty60, but sadly PNP's app is even worse. You cannot even choose alternatives. Sixty60 must add a functionality where we can add notes and the shopper will know I don't want the rotten fruit and vegetables that nobody else wanted. Useless app, useless store - and extremely untidy too.

It is a smaller Checkers but it is modern and clean and convenient. However, the deli & bakery are always out of stock! It seems demand is always higher than production, which is quite annoying.

It's a decent enough Checkers, but if it becomes the slightest but busy in there, it starts feeling claustrophobic very quickly. No baskets available, so you have to take a trolley for the smallest bit of shopping. I could understand it during social distancing times, but now it just takes up space, and adds to the cramped feeling and longer queues, while there's already minimal room for queuing.

The fresh bread is always a treat... You should consider stocking a greater variety of OCD Rolling papers and filters.

Hubbie was looking for close to expired fruit cakes....I bought all the xmas pies that were on special for 20 bucks....know they get rid of old foodstuff definitely good shopping experience.

Alway a nice shop to visit. They put the effort in to keep it clean and mostly well stocked.

Love Checkers but after having had my belongings stolen out of the boot of my car, & being insulted by management that I misplaced my things prior to arriving at the centre because it was impossible for a jamming device to work as they have technology to prevent jamming of the boot, not a place I frequent alone. I had a few choice words for management & the guards who were clearly complicit, which made me the bad person, I actually avoid going here unless I really & truly must! Pizza Hut is great!!

I frequent this store on the regular. Some staff like Martha the manager are amazing people but we wont mention the others that make excuses or stories when the pricing on the system is not as advertised. Stock of items on special are a problem. ***Check your slip before you leave the store as i have more than 10 times, items that are rung up incorrectly and been over charged.***

Just normal shopping was fine... But the maze meal had worms, had to return it . But the helped to exchange it with no hustle... Service was painless..
