I would like say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Marisca, Chris and Brenda for walking this extremely difficult path with us, these past 10 days or so!!!! We had previously had dealings with another Funeral Home after the death of another family member who passed away a few years ago in the middle of the night and it had left me feeling very uneasy about the whole situation. This event had played on my mind for a long time and as my husband had been very ill for the past 7 years I was always worried that we could end up with a repeat experience. That fateful day finally arrived and one feels absolutely incapable of making any decisions. One of the paramedics who arrived at our house took matters into his own hands and offered to call a funeral home for me. Within minutes of him contacting them, I received a call from a very caring person informing me that they were already on their way to our place. Chris en Marisca is wonderlike mense. Hulle het van die begin tot die einde ons bygestaan met al die reelings. Die moeite wat in alles ingegaan het was wonderlik. Hulle behandel mens nie net as 'n nommer nie, maar soos familie. My pa is met respek hanteer vandat hulle sy liggaam gaan haal het totdat ons sy as ontvang het. Ek sal defenetief hulle voorstel om na jou geliefde te kyk!!!

Marisca en Chris en Danie het dit vir ons familie moontlik gemaak om ons ma en ouma en oumagrootjie presies na haar wense te begrawe. Sy is in die vroee oggendure op ‘n Sondag oorlede en Chris en Marisca was self onmiddellik beskikbaar om haar te kom haal en haar te versorg. Hulle was ook bereid om haar vanaf Johannesburg na Bloemfontein te vervoer na haar laaste rusplek en dit is professioneel en sonder enige hakplek gedoen. Hulle deernis, eindelose geduld en ondersteuning in ‘n tyd van onsekerheid, rou en verlies sal nooit vergeet word nie en ons is dankbaar vir die professionele en effektiewe diens wat ons by die Roodepoort tak van Sonja Smih Funeral Group gekry het.

Right from the first call right up to the funeral and even after the funeral did we receive 100% professional service. But also sympathetic and empathetic guidance each day! Not once were there any uncertainty or questions unanswered. Given this being the most difficult time anyone have to face, the warmth of their caring and loving attitudes certainly made it possible for us to face it head on. A warm thank you for the quick and affective response, for the sorting of all the documents, for the amount of passion that goes into the way you treat the family of the deceased as well as the deceased.
