Engen Durban Road Convenience

I always get excellent, friendly service from this Engen. The staff are lovely to deal with and the whole petrol top-up experience is pleasant.Decent shop and Steers inside too if you need a quick snack or groceries. They also have an Absa ATM inside.

Without a doubt, the most shocking experience I have had at an Engen, more specifically the Steers inside. Staff that do not give a s..t about the clients. And take pride in serving a burger which has been on the shelf in full view for over 20 minutes. Absolutely surreal experience in these economic times. They have just lost a regular woolies, steers, fuel and late night sweeties client forever. Very sad considering I have been using this service station for close on 20 years. Captive market, well built business, being destroyed by inept staff... I suppose you sow what you reap, starts with the management I summise. Will be posting on other forums with regards this experience...

We recently had a laptop stolen out of our car from signal jamming at this Engen. This is unfortunate and no blame to Engen for this occurring. What we do blame Engen for is that the camera viewing the parking lot is so poor that no license plate number can be made out to be given to the Police for further investigation. We unfortunately have to live with crime in SA, but can you please get better cameras to help with investigations, I could also recommend on-site security to help deter people looking for easy targets. We will not be using this Engen again.

The two girls working behind the counter was so Rude, slow, bad behaved, using bad languageto talk to eachother in front of customers. Worst service that i have experienced at any fuel station. Will rather push my car past this place to the next fuel station.

Check pricing before buying. You think buying a pasta for Sunday lunch for R139 because that is what the price is on the tag then that pasta cost you R274!!! Ag nee man... so verkeerd

The Woolworths quick shop and Steers is very convenient for those forgotten items on the way home.The garage attendants needs more training on how to be aware of clientele. Waited 5minutes while a group of attendants was chatting one pump over. This in my opinion is not acceptable behaviour.

Very convenient to have a Woolworths foodstop shop and a steers outlet. Especially in this loadshedding season we are in. The staff were grumpy for some reason and this made them inefficient in their customer service

The shop is super expensive, the products are almost never priced, and the owner always parks his Mercedes right in front of the door where it stays all day long, taking up the best spot that should be reserved for the hundreds of customers per day who now has to go park far away from the door. If this was not the closest shop to my office and had a Steers and a Woollies, it would never see me.

Absolutely shocking service day in and day out. Petrol attendants through to shop staff couldn't care less about the clientele that walks through the door. Its unfortunate that i have to make use of this facility otherwise i would avoid at all costs. It's guaranteed business and probably the reason we get treated so terribly. Stay clear if you can there are several service stations on the same road that you can rather make use of.

One star is actually to much. I stop at this place for fuel just before 20:00. The petrol attendance standing in front of the building, just turn around, walk away and start making his phone call. He had seen me that's for sure. No other attedance on the four court except for the one already busy with a customer. This is very bad service. I notice the owner just sent the same reply every time. Why not go to the CCTV and search and take alook there. Maybe you will see what is actually going on, instead of always asking for photos.
