Kakamas Hotel by Country Hotels
We stayed in the very spacious 3 bedroom self catering appartment. All the rooms have aircon so staying here in summer is not an issue. There is DSTV with limited channels. Breakfast is included. They also serve dinner at extra cost but we decided to braai (gas) during our stay. They have a generator on site so loadshedding is not an issue. The hotel is just a couple of km from Kakamas. This is an ideal spot to call your base and visit the surrounding areas.The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We were received and treated with courtecy and effectiveness. The receptionest went out of her way to accommodate our late return from a scheduled meeting in town and even aranged for our breakfast to be ready as take-away as we would leave the next morning early.Our meal at the restaurant was as ordered and very big and tasty. Only went there for a meal. Food and service was excellent! Highly recommended. The only place we could find open in the evening for a meal. Was not dissapointed. Prices are reasonable. Portions are ample. Great setting.

From the get go the welcoming was poor. The waitress was rude. Had an attitude whenever we asked for something, we ordered an omelette with cheese , mushrooms and onion. When the omelette arrived it only had cheese , when we asked about the other ingredients they said they didn’t have mushrooms (why didn’t they tell us when we ordered?) over all 1/10 at best. Do not recommend.
