Bergsicht Country Farm Cottages

Absolutely BRILLIANT place to go to for a getaway and especially a romantic one. My partner and I were in the Angelino cottage. The design is rustic and cozy with a pleasant touch of modernity in the window frames and fireplace. If you going in winter, there is absolutely no need to worry about getting cold or taking extra blankets with. With an indoor fireplace, heater and electric blankets, you are guaranteed warmth and comfort! The highlight was definitely the hot tub. It was spectacular. With a bit of patience and some fire making skills, you can have a very warm hot tub in just a few hours.The house is fully stocked with tea, sugar, coffee and a small milk (buy extra if needed). It has pots, pans, plates, side plates, tea cups, bowls, serving dishes, braai “bak” (container) and more. There is also an iron and ironing board.The attention to detail is incredible! When you arrive, all fire points have wood pre-packed in them. All you have to do is light the blitz and place it in the fire place. If you need more wood, you can simply walk a few meters to the wood station where you can take as many bags as needed at a cost of R20 per bag which must be placed in the honesty box. A very convenient system indeed! There is also a little welcoming drink which can be enjoyed (I think it was a sherry or some other sweet wine like a medium cream or muscadel).The farm is very safe and very quiet with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the orchards.If I had one critique it would be that checkout is very early. I wish it could be at 11am and not 10am but this is a negligible “critique”.This place is worth every penny spent and I will most certainly be back!

Loved our stay here! Cozy, neat and well equipped cottage. Breathtaking views of the moutains and orchards. The wood fired hot tub was an absolute winner and we spent the cool evenings soaking and relaxing here. Definitely recommend staying here for a romantic getaway!

A slice of heaven, what a magical stay we had! The most beautiful and peaceful scenery... The cottages were so well equipped and perfectly furnished. The extra little details made it even more amazing... The wood provided for the hot tub and fire, salt & pepper, cards for games instead of a TV. The bed was so comfy, we will definitely be back and can highly recommend this for an escape into bliss

No amount of words can describe the most incredible stay at the Laetitia cottage. The cottage was beautifully done, spotless and homely. The most beautiful view and upkeep of the premises. I would highly recommend.

Easily one the best cabin experiences I've had. Great location, cosy cottage with all the essentials and simple transparent check in system. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful all in all, peaceful and secluded! The hot tub is worthwhile for every moment to relax in. Everything at hand and even a basket of complimentary wood. The kitchen has all all necessities.

In a place called Bergsicht we stayed in the Laetitia cottage. What a beautiful set up for couples to enjoy anniversaries or honeymoons. The Hot Tub was thee best and pretty spacious. Open plan room, lounge and kitchen compliments one another perfectly. Lovely air conditioner, electric wall panel, electric blanket and built in fire place to keep you warm and cozy at night. This place is definitely a jewel❤️

Our stay was absolutely amazing, we stayed at Sunburst. Clean, well equipped & gorgeous views. Would definitely visit again!
