Lizelle Van Viegen Physiotherapist

I am writing this on behalf of my Grandmother.I would like to share my experience of this Physio who I think is very competent and professional in her job and I would recommend her any time. I have had a bad shoulder for 6 weeks. I could not lift my arm above my head. I saw a shoulder specialist and was told that I had a torn tendon and was recommended surgery to repair it. However on recommendation of a friend she referred me to the above mentioned physio. I was sceptical in the beginning due to the seriousness of the injury. After a few treatments and reassurance from the physio that with patience and exercise I will eventually be able to use my arm. I kept up the follow up visits and today after 3 months I have full use of my arm. If this is not a good reference then I don’t know what is good. If anybody has any doubts I have the proof that I have seen the specialists.

I have been using Lizelle's services for many years (in fact my whole family have been using her services). She has been fantastic and always been able to fit me in at short notice. I have also referred a number of friends to her and their feedback has also been great!

I highly recommend Lizelle Van Viegen. She goes the extra mile, has assisted and resolved numerous problems for myself and family, over the years. I have never had the need to seek out another physiotherapist.

....a “Pain In the Neck!” Brought me back here to this very professional Physiotherapist. Always ready to assist and do what she is best trained to do help to relieve pains and aches relating to muscles. They COVID-19 prepared so it’s safe to visit but you are compelled to wear a Face-mask when visiting. The practice is housed in a very nifty clean house, even the garden is nice and well kept. Now i have noticed that a dentist also has a practice here. Lizelle is even prepared to give a pensioners discount.....highly recommended Physiotherapist in the Bothasig area......

Lizelle has been my physio for years and I stop off at her before I consider the other medical specialists. She has over the years treated my knees, lower back, neck, etc. She is essential in my daily and longterm healthcare.

Ms Van Viegen is abrasive, condescending and frankly downright rude. I had an initial and a follow-up treatment (which she scheduled). When I told her that I still had pain when I came back she essentially chided me for coming back, inferred that I was lying about the changes I had made as per her recommendation and insisted that she had had nothing to do with my condition deteriorating, even though this wasn’t not at all what I said. I felt as though I had to walk on eggshells to avoid offending her and that I had to apologise for being injured in the first place.Her reaction to my questions was almost as though I was intentionally doing something wrong and that I was wasting her time.I would not recommend treatment from this physiotherapist unless you enjoy being spoken to as though you are a child.I’d sooner go to a chiropractor than visit this establishment again.

Lizelle both of us want to commend you and thank you for the amazing way in which you have helped us and brought relief when we've been in great discomfort and pain. Be it a shoulder, back or neck issue, you have a way of bringing relief like no other physio we've known. Your years of practice have given you a 'knowing' that we're so grateful for. And it's with great confidence that we have referred many others to you - many driving all the way from Durbanville like we do, and all have thanked us for the referral. It's really so good knowing you're there for when we need you!

I would recommend Lizelle to anyone. Through the years she has assisted me with all sorts of muscle pains from back to neck. Her friendliness and professionalism is of utmost high standard and what I appreciate the most is the education that you get from her. It has helped me in a few instances so that I didn't need to go for physio.

Her practice is much further away than our local physiotherapists, but because of her knowledge, thoroughness, professional honesty and success rate with all our ailments presented to her, we never hesitate to do the extra travel.
