JAXX RESTAURANT
Updating on 19 November 2021: the reason for a one star rating is a recently adopted perspective that any establishment providing single-serve packaging (for jam and butter etc) should be penalised in the minor form of a Google review rating. Abandon the practices that generate unnecessary waste and I would reassess the rating. The Wi-Fi wasn't functioning either.Otherwise Jaxx is a great restaurant that makes great food. The staff were delightfully friendly. Jaxx has a big fire place in the centre which makes it an especially desirable place to eat at during winter. The restaurant is modern and trendy offering both basic and gourmet style menu items.The greatest shame about Jaxx is that they have not positioned the establishment with any view of the quarry itself which provides a lovely scenic feature to the greater shopping centre. This is despite being situated next to offices that have a magnificent deck that extends out over the quarry lake and is not utilised at all. Instead any seating at Jaxx provides only a view of Clicks or Woolworths across the quartyard at best.

I visited my family in Hilton.We went to Jax for lunch Saturday 30 Jan 2021.It was so yummy. We went back Sunday and I can totally recommend the thai and coli rice dish.Covid rules are being adhered to and I felt very safeWell done to the Management and staff 10/10

Great little gem of a restaurant in the center. Only place open in Hilton in the early morning for breakfast. Good service. Great food. Coffee was also excellent

A restaurant with a must-try cheesecake! The scone was also delicious. A perfect cake and tea (or coffee for me) spot in Hilton. I do wish they had vegan options, so they lost a star there.

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Jaxx. Nathan provided us with efficient, friendly service and the meals were delicious.

Utterly disappointed at the staff. Zama was our waitress. We ordered Jaxx breakfast with avocado top up but we were only given a small portion of it. Much smaller than usual. We then asked Zama to help us, which she did, but we then overheard the kitchen staff member named Nokwanda say kunjalo uksiza abantu abamnyama

It has a lovely feel to the restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are efficient and you don't spend much time waiting.I had a coffee and a muffin. The coffee was lovely served hot and yummy. However the muffin was plain and no real effort is put into it. Just two little tubs a butter where added. (See photos)They have absolutely NO hospitality for smokers!!!! If you're a smoker and want to sit down to enjoy a meal and a smoke ... Go somewhere else!

Jaxx, at the Quarry Centre, is a nice place for a bite to eat. The menu has a decent range of food and drink at a good price. The restaurant itself is kept clean and tidy. In the winter, Jaxx is kept warm by a cozy fire. The staff are very polite and friendly and service is relatively quick. There is an outside area for kids to play.Great place to go after shopping.

Waitress was friendly and helpful but I would not advise this as a stop for a Sunday afternoon coffee and cake stop. Most items requested where either discontinued or out of stock. Even the poor croissant looked very sad (not fluffy or buttery and luke warm). What a pity.
