Helen's Cakes

So the driver messed up my cake during delivery instead of calling and telling me, they quickly tried to sort me out a new one (by quick I mean 4hr30 later) I got the cake which was supposed to be a giant cupcake, and it looks like a dog's breakfast. Very poor communication skills and yes they tried to fix the problem but with the least amount of finesse possible.

I ordered a couple of decorated biscuits to create a cookie bouquet to give to a friend as a birthday present. All the communication was done via email about what I wanted and the idea was captured perfectly! The biscuits were extremely tasty and they looked beautiful!Thank you Marisa from Helen's Bakery. Can't wait to taste more of your offerings!

I stopped by in a rush today looking for a birthday cake for my wife. The owner greeted me very politely and offered me one of their cheesecakes. It was by far the most expensive cake I have ever bought. But MY GOODNESS, what a cake. Worth every penny, it beat any cheesecake I have ever had and will probably ever have. Finally, a place where the money matches the quality. Thanks Helen's, I was thoroughly impressed.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon when they were closing and instead of turning us away, John welcomed us in. Asked me to show him images of the cake she would like and Stayed after hours to get it done for me. Can’t thank you enough, oh and it was delicious!

I ordered a birthday number 3 cake from Helen's Cakes but my son's third birthday party. They asked me to send them a picture of the cake I had in mind so I sent them a picture and I was very excited and looking forward to the cake. But when I picked it up I was very shocked. The cake looked nothing like the picture that I sent them. It didn't even look like No. 3!! The sugar coat finish was uneven and messy appearing. It didn't look professionally done, rather as if someone amateur had made it. I had checked their website to see what kind of cakes they make and the cakes on the websites looked very professional but apparently it was deceiving... My husband and I were very disappointed. So I sent a message to the owner about our disappointment with the picture of the cake but there is no reply.I would definitely not recommend anyone order any cakes from here, especially if it is for any important occasion, which most occasions requiring cakes are!UPDATE:After speaking with John, the owner of Helen's Cakes, I felt that I needed to edit this review. There seems to have been some valid reason for why the cake looked the way it did. He was very sorry that the cake was not up to par and that we were not happy with it. He really tried hard to contact us and see what He can do to make amends. He even offered to bring another cake the next day.We did have the bday party with the first cake. My son was very happy and the guests enjoyed the cake. Some even asked for an extra slice to take home!Both My husband and I were very impressed with how promptly John reacted to this situation and took responsibility for it. I think it'll be okay to give Helen's Cakes another go when we need a cake/cupcakes in the future.

I called Helen's Cakes last minute for a birthday cake. They made the ordering process quick and easy and I was able to pick it up first thing the next morning. The chocolate cake was beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious to eat! In addition, the staff were all smiles and very friendly when I came in to collect my order. Thank you to the entire Helen's Cakes team!

I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday, which was quite complicated to make and I had a specific budget. Helen's Cakes worked around my budget and produced the most amazing photography cake. It not only looked amazing, it tasted great. A big thanks to John for the coordination and to Molly for making such an amazing cake. My husband was so happy and our guests loved it too. Thanks Helen's Cakes for a wonderful job.

The team (I communicated with Lorraine) was incredibly professional, and the cake turned out EXACTLY how the birthday girl imagined it would turn out! Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going there again. Did I mention the price was reasonable? Loved it.
