Wonderful true Karoo farm getaway. We stay here often on the trip to and from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Warm and friendly staff that make you feel at home. Do a game drive if you can to see the bison and various buck or a hike up the koppie for sunset.

A traditional Karoo house now run as a guest house. Amazing, dedicated, and friendly staff who are so sweet and always ready to help. Have spent much time here and hopefully will come back for more!

Was a lovely true old farm experience. Close enough to the highway to be a quick stop in between places but gar enough to be completely quiet. The nights are void of light polution so the place has great star viewing.Dinner is pricey but if you are looking for a traditional farm cooked meal it is a must. You can hear other geust from the rooms. But the overall people who stays there are sound concious so it doesnt realy bother you. Rooms are old but lovely.

We had the most wonderful and relaxing family break here for 3 nights. This place isn't just an overnight stop between JHB and CT but a destination in and of itself. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious and the house extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend.

Possibly the best Karoo guest house there is))) everything stands out! The staff and food are brilliant! The house and history just amazing! Beautiful wildlife and very warm staff! I will cone again!!!!

.What marvellous Karoo hospitality. From the ranger escorting us through the torrential rain and mud from the highway to the farmhouse, to the well stocked honesty bar, roaring fires, the most succulent roast lamb and melt in the mouth malva pudding, and comfortable and capacious beds. The staff could not have been more welcoming and charming, the food delicious, the accommodation top notch. An absolute treat for weary travellers. We'll be back.

Bloemhof Karoo lodge is the perfect stopover on the CT / Joburg road trip. Traditional Cape homestead filled with antiques and memorabilia, exceptional service, food and comfort. Highly recommended.
