Steve and his team are amazing. Professional and genuine. Had Steve out for a quote and some advice about aircon installation. Then had James and Jimmy do the install. Couldn’t be more impressed with their work and attitude. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Once again we are delighted with the great service that we have experienced from Steven Murphy Electrical. After enlisting their help to get our previous home ready for sale, we again called on their services to make some much needed improvements to our new property. The work was fiddly and required patience and an eye for detail. Jacob and Blair displayed both of these qualities as well as a ‘can do’ attitude which was greatly appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and after the guys had spent an entire day on the job we absolutely love the result. We were also grateful that they did not leave a single mark on our freshly painted bathroom with no touching up required. We will not hesitate to call on their services again when the time arises. I recently engaged Steven Murphy Electrical Contractors for 2 tasks in my home. One of those tasks was to install an additional powerpoint in my kitchen. They had a look at my setup and suggested the best option would be to have a bench popup powerpoint and said that would be easy to install and they'd get back to me with options/costings. I agreed that the bench popup powerpoint would be good.They went ahead and ordered it without getting back to me about costings/options, which was a bit disappointing, but I figured they said it was an easy job so not to worry.However, it turns out that was not true because it became evident that when the second lot of blokes were here to do the actual installation, it took them more time than expected.. If I had of known that before instead of being told it was easy, I would have reconsidered my options.Anyway, long story short, I then receive the bill, they were charging me just under 2K for the installation of the powerpoint (labour + parts). Have you ever heard of a powerpoint installation costing almost 2K? I was flabbergasted.To be fair, the workers did a good job and worked hard and meticulously - can't fault that at all. That's why I'm giving the review 2 stars instead of 1. I do find it hard to look past the fact that being charged just under 2K for installation of a powerpoint is the biggest rip off of all time.I feel that this business lacks honesty and transparency and I will not be using them again in future.

Didn't show up at all on the first appointment, without any communication. Late to the second appointment and only fairly mediocre investigative work done that anyway led to the wrong answer to our problem (identified later by different electrician). Certainly not worth the $370 they tried to charge us, even had to call up to amend their own mistakes on the invoice.

Good service but extremely expansive and they used cheap version of the fuse which failed a few weeks later. I had to replace it with another electrician. I’m glad I’ve taken photos and so did the other electrician. The owner says they don’t usually use that brand?! Then what is that doing in my power board!In response to the owner, this is absolutely valid. And not a scam. Why would I need to quote the invoice here? Perhaps we can see what ACCC says!

Steven has Complete professionalism, talked me through various options and price points. Supplied and installed in a very prompt and timely manner with quality products.Already have recommended him and his company to others who have also used his business for electrical work and are also very happy with the workmanship and products!Will with out a doubt use this company again and continue to recommend!

Steven Murphy Electrical installed my split system A/C.The whole experience was great! Got a quote on the Monday and was able to book installation on the Friday. Both tradies were very friendly and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and took the time to explain the unit to me.Big bonus was that they were the most competitive regarding the price. Got a few quotes from other electricians.I would recommend them to anyone! You can tell that it’s a business with great family values.

Highly recommended. We had an extremely tight deadline for a house settlement and the guys moved mountains to get it done for us. Best in the business will be telling all our our friends and family members. Thanks again guys love your work.
