This is by far one of the most beautiful places to go to. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Excellent fishing spot. Good facilities for children. Camping in comfort

One of the best family and friends getaway, be it just for the day, of for a few days. The restaurant serves a good selection of tasty meals and the beers are always ice cold. Kids can swim, fish, ride bikes, just to think of a few.If you have a boat, even better. If not, you can hitch a ride to the beach on Argy Bargy.We absolutely love the place.

Situated on the river. Peaceful and quiet. Restaurant may close whenever the please. Staff very helpful and available timeously.

Absolutely love going to the Pont, great accommodation and for the campers, clean and easy accessible bathrooms.River is amazing to being your own boat enjoy some water sports or if you don't have a boat book a barge ride along the river taking you to the beach, book a tube ride etc. Kayaks are also available for rental. Beautiful nature trail for the hikers to enjoy. Bring the kids bike and let them enjoy the on-site pool and safe play area.The restaurant is amazing, food is great as well as the staff.There is honestly something for everyone in the family.

We only went down for lunch. The cheezy garlic prawns and creamy garlic mussels were great.The pizzas looked awesome.The basket was also great

Went for a bikers rally. Access road needs some attention but the venue is great

This is truly a magical part of KZN! I've been visiting the Pont for many years now and I never get bored. The scenery is spectacular and you are blessed with gorgeous views whether you are sitting at your chalet looking at the river; or going for a paddle up the river; or relaxing down at the beach,. There is so much to do at the Pont and the vibe at the restaurant is great! The Pont is perfect for families who like a bit of adventure and fun.

Edit: received an email regarding the removal of the entry fee regarding individuals going to the restaurant. We will be back!Unreasonable visitors R50 entrance fee. I understand the restaurant is privately owned. I understand if it was for people who are going to use the facilities… but for people that just want to go to the restaurant just makes it ridiculous.The restaurant was good. The scenery is pleasant.

We camped at The Old Pont and while everything looks very nice but as a camper you rely on ablution facilities... Which where sadly lacking.There are 3 sets of ablutions ... On our first night my wife managed to shower but in the gents in the first ablutions the hot water was just trickling and cold, in the second ablutions near the restaurant there were two showers, o e didn't work at all and the second had no hot water. On the second day we found a third set of ablutions right at the end of the property and I managed to get a decent shower.This was reported to management on Sat morning but had not been rectified by Sat night...Then the other thing you want is peace and quiet... Which is sadly lacking, there is no control by security or management and roaring parties went on until late at night.Then we camped at Stand 45 and while nice and shaded and right on the river... The paddlers take over your site and basically do as they please as you trip over their canoes that they leave right by your tent (on your site) ... Again.. if management walked around and got involved it would go a long way.While very a very nice place... I don't think we would recommend this campsite to our camping community.
