Worth a try because staff is surprisingly aware when it comes to gluten-free options in the detail of their menu and the music is simply awesome. Dishes have really nice crossings of flavored nuances, high standards in a chill ambiance - keep the groove guys! Oh and they have a popcorn machine :)

We were keen to enjoy a dinner and live musical performance and booked at The Piano Bar one Friday evening. Reservations are required as there wasn't a table free.We ordered several tapas plates to share between the 3 of us throughout the evening, sipped on wine, and listened to the band and their incredibly talented singer. The music wasn't overbearing, and so we were still able to enjoy a conversation. And the indoor fireplace set the tone for a cozy, somewhat romantic winter evening. Our waiter was superb, and each tapas was tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back as I have too many favorite dishes to try again.

We had a wonderful evening here. Phumi took great, unobtrusive care of us from the moment we walked in the door, seating us on the balcony until a table became available inside. The tapas plates were creative and very tasty, and vegetarians were well catered for. The live music added greatly to the atmosphere and our overall enjoyment. Definitely reserve in advance; we took our chances with a walk-up in the off-season, and only squeaked in.

We booked a table and the one they give us was nearby the bar. We were basically spending the night with the bartenders. we went here, especially for the live music in to see a live band. if you are lucky, you might see them, but there’s not a lot of tables that offers a view on the stage. The stage is ill positioned, only a few tables can see it. We ordered food and was way too salty. The waiters were very kind, however. If you like live music, maybe better go for the drink but not for dinner I do not recommend.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and unique. The selection of musicians is quite diverse. The service is friendly and timely. The food is surprisingly unique and very delicious. However, everything is a bit on the expensive side. Perhaps that's expected for a place in the CBD.

Another brilliant night out at Piano Bar, celebrating a dear friend's birthday. We were once again impressed with the great service from professional staff, their absolutely delicious, well presented, exotic tapas menu, and the excellent live music performance which adds to a fun and sophisticated night out. We love you, Piano Bar, the true gem of de Waterkant!

The music and ambiance cannot be replicated anywhere in Cape Town or SA for that matter . However , the food leave much too be desired . If the food game is upped then this place will score 10/10 . Management is accomodating in every aspect except when it comes to suggestions about the menu .

Went for some cocktails and great music, the food portions looked beautiful, but definitely not your money's worth

Fantastic service. Delicious lunch food, has a bit of a coffee shop vibe earlier in the day. For the evening, expensive cocktail list. Adorable wrap-around terrace. Chicken burger was delicious!

A wonderful set up and vibe. The crowd was fun and music was viby. Drinks were well priced from the normal menu. The special menu was a bit too expensive. All in all, a lovely venue!
