FNB ATM @ Pretoriuskop Rest Camp

Not our favourite Kruger Park camp as it doesn't have a view but it's clean and well maintained. It has a Wimpy restaurant, which we don't enjoy - Mugg & Bean would have been more appealing.

Such a great camp. It is well looked after, clean and always the perfect place for peace and quiet. We often heard lions at night and the occasional hyena. The ablutions were also very clean. The terrain surrounding Pretoriuskop is always beautiful and lush.

Picturesque camp within the Kruger. Many good drives around the camp, especially the winding routes around the nearby hills. Keep a lookout for large buffalo herds and cheetah and rare Sable antelope. Being a high-rainfall area, the grasses are less suited to grazing animals and hence sightings can be a little more limited than the more eastern and south-central parts of the park. This is not to say that there isn't an abundance of activity and the area is well worth visiting. The restaurant is part of the Wimpy" fast food chain and slightly below par compared to other camps served by the "Mugg and Bean" brand (which has a more extensive and better menu

Love the camp, this is a camp with loads of history and the best swimming pool in the Kruger National Park. The camp management is attentive and share their passion with their staff members. The ablution facilities are clean and well maintained. We love Pretoriuskop and the wildlife sightings are stunning, a definite must visit.

Camp is very good with lots at facilities and well run with friendly staff. The ablutions could do with a bit more cleanliness but all in all is a beautiful camp. It's a great place to experience the Kruger national park.

A large family group staying in Feb 2017. We booked the Pierre Joubert guesthouse which may well be the most expensive unit they have in Krugar as it can sleep 16 people with 4 bungalows and a central lounge/kitchen. There were serious problems with PG which I will not detail at length as I am still hoping to settle a dispute with SAN Management. But having squirrels fighting in the thatched roof over your food at the dining table is quite novel albeit unhygienic. Otherwise the accommodation by 21C standards really shows its age from 1987 as the style is dark. The camp was as good as last time although with limited facilities. Must be the only country still to have Wimpy bars! We really enjoy the unique swimming pool.Would definitely use this camp again. Shame I feel I can only give it 3* this time.

Staff care little to none. We came here for peace and quite, the staff village can be heard from miles around playing music and shouting having a party. The staff clearly have no care for what the Kruger park stands for and represents to those visiting.

Nice camp but super unfriendly staff! Starting at the reception where they only tell necessities but for example do not mention that cuttlery boxes are rentable etc. Also WiFi is apparently only available at the restaurant (wimpy) where you have to get a proper meal to actually use it. The staff of the restaurant was very impolite, as well.
Would recommend staying in another camp.

Much stuff for low prices.I am not going to Do another Trip with the Ranger. Our Ranger Was really bored and unfriendly.Do your Trip with your own Car, the Best you can Do.Unfortunately we did not Do the morning walk because it rained. But there were no issueses with the Payback.The location is great and you will find everything you will need in your bungalow.All in one it was a nice Trip.

It's simple and basic. The rate is a bit high but it's in Kruger and what more can you ask? You can see monkeys, baboons and more right inside the camp!
