It is a great venue, I loved it and would like to go back there again and again. Four things I didn't like. Table waiting is bad, forcing you to leave your table if you want drinks and the process is too slow and crowded at the counter.They also don't have ushers, poeple who arrive late are not directed to where vacant tables and seats are. , you are left to roam around alone trying to find a seat.Air conditioning system either doesn't exist or was not working forcing you to stand outside during a live performance. Sad for performing artists.Lastly, I got the impression that the artist holding room was also not air conditioned because my favourite artists were standing outside to catch cool air.

Talk about having fun and having a great night but AfroBru, ASOZE!!! So the service was 5% out of 10 because I believe we needed to know certain information concerning our tab before we even pay but unfortunately that is not how it happens at this place. Me and the people I was with lost our belongings and concerning the footage and understanding how that was even possible, management said the camera does not show our table, yet the camera was faced down on our table and while we were stranded. Our emotions were all over and our heads were still trying to figure things out but their sorry" came with the benefits of them showing us the door

I went here in December so things were mellow, but I didn't mind that. The selection of beers was super and the bar staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. I appreciate a bar tender who suggests a beer I haven't tried before and it turns out to be good. I didn't eat so I can't vouch for the chow but I did see another person's plate and the contents it carried looked more than edible to me. Although I didn't taste the food I did hear the music, which was definitely quality. I'll be dropping in for a drink the next time I'm around.

One of the best places to go out in Mobaneng Joburg. Awesome live music, huge selection of lekker craft beers and cool friendly crowd and nice African but modern interior design .. I also like the large outdoor smoking area. Came here every day and miss it

I walked into Afro Bru Restaurant and couldn’t believe my eyes. It was absolutely gorgeous! Tastefully decorated in gold and black, a high ceiling giving it volume and artsy light fittings, I immediately warmed to the place. The dim lighting added a touch of class and made the place feel cosy in spite of the huge size. I was warmly welcomed by the affable staff and found Sizwe, the bartender, knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. He was able to make recommendations on draft beer that suited my taste perfectly. I was meeting a friend there who was set on eating pizza, which they unfortunately do not serve, so we left prematurely. We also found out that they have regular live music performances (unfortunately not that night!) This looks set to be one of my favourite venues in the Maboneng Precinct, and - in the words of the Terminator (if not the same intent) - I’ll definitely be back!! :)

We held our end of year function here & it was the worse we ever had.place was dirty & was not organized when we arrived..Some of our staff had to go in the kitchen to wash the glasses.The food was a big let down,meat was hard and food cold..Desert was another story..tartlet were hard..could actually be used as a weapon..it would cause damage to one's assilant...Management did not manage the staff...it was not closed" off from the public as a private function.people walked in selling wares and some even ordered drinks on our company bill. One waitress admitted she got intoxicated from drinking on our tab....We have actual video footage..Met with Ziggy
