Imaginet Internet Services

Worst service of all the ISP's I've ever encountered. Their backbone is AXXESS which means if something goes wrong they have to go and beg for help at axxess' door - which may or may not come. This leaves the customer high and dry for over a week (in our case) with empty promises from Imaginet staff. The 'CEO' who is terminally indifferent to customer woes, also defends her inadequate staff to the hilt and doesn't seem to understand that downtime costs money. I guess it's fine if it isn't YOUR time and YOUR money. The most disturbing part of all of this is that for some reason Imaginet has been able to remove my previous negative review from Google. I will keep checking in and re-upload my reviews if they 'disappear' again.

I've been with these guys for years. Moved briefly because they couldn't give us fibre when it first rolled out and then went straight back! No other ISP responds as quickly as these guys so follows up as often or has technicians that actually know what they are talking about! If I could give you 6 stars guys, I would!

Oh my gosh forgotten what good service is until I contacted this company. When I applied online there was a message that said we busy with your request you can go and make some coffee....well I didnt get a chance because they responded so quickly. Friendly, efficient, knowledgable. And most of all thank you Megan for helping me till late last night to set up my account. You a Star.

The tech staff are amazing, polite, knowledge and dedicated. When I have had an intermittent problem they have checked back over several days to ensure it is resolved. They are happy to talk you through fixes over the phone, and the real plus, I have NEVER been made to feel an idiot while chatting to them.

Without a doubt the best ISP in South Africa, any issues, downtime, anything internet related and they are on it like champs. Well well worth moving across to Imaginet as we have done with nearly all services - their service is on another level entirely and will work tirelessly to get your systems backup when its not from their side :)Friendly, down to earth good old fashioned SERVICE!

I would NOT recommend their services if you want a website or if you want to park a domain. They charge hosting fees to park domains where other Registrar's would only charge the once off fee of say R75 for a full year without having to pay for hosting - this is unfair and unethical, why ? Because if you park a domain you are the owner of that domain and should have the last say if it gets transferred or not, adding hosting with this company (which is not optional but required) means that you have to give them notice before the 24th of the month to transfer your domain away if you do it after the 24th you'll have to wait until the next month before they initiate the transfer. Please do your research and use ISP's like Afrihost, Register Domain SA before you go sign up with these guys. We have to wait a month to transfer our domains to a profesional website designer to get our business up and running and now they force us to wait!

While the staff are trying desperately to be nice and are trying to placate the customers, it does not make up for the fact that this internet service provider is just plain bad; and their business practice is based on accumulating sales, with no concern over whether or not they can provide the service properly. I was sold and roped into a LTE-A contract, where they did testing on site; everything seemed good, the speed was fairly good on the testing results (8 to 12 mb/s). Lo and behold when I actually moved in, the speed was more like 0.2 to 4mb/s. I then called to report that my speed was a lot slower than the original testing, and they said oh... you know what? Your area is actually not even on the map for where LTE-A reaches". This just shows that they didn't really care about my customer experience for the next year

After receiving extremely poor service from Telkom internet services which took almost 8 days to restore my internet services, I consulted Imaginet which immediately gave me a logical explanation as to the reason for my problems whilst Telkom keep saying the problem is at their test centre. They established within 4 minutes that my router was working trouble free and that I had a line problem. I am highly impressed with the explanation service and willingness to help me.

I have been with Imaginet for ages and they're simply great! They are incredibly responsive and on the ball, and it means I've been able to do efficient work with them even while travelling. Their blog is fantastic; a huge deal of effort goes into them helping their customers succeed. I also can't believe how little the fees have gone up in all the time we've been together. Highly recommend.

I've been a customer of Imaginet for many years, and they provide exceptional service. They've never let me down and always go beyond, even calling me on weekends and late nights when needed. Their support team is incredibly responsive, often within just a few minutes, and they always follow up on email. It is their humbleness and integrity that I value.
