Heavenly Coffees

We arrived and was seated at a table by a man. We told him about the dirty cup and empty sugar packets from the previous people that were still at our table, he said sorry, gave us the menus and walked away and just left the dirty cup and empty sugar packets on our table. He didn't even ask us if we wanted to order anything. We waited for about 15 minutes and not one person came to take our order. We waited and watched the waiters just standing and chatting with each other.We left without eating or drinking anything because no one helped us. We have heard so many good things about Heavenly Coffees but had quite a bad experience for our first time there...

I absolutely loved my experience there! They make delicious coffee and sell coffee beans which I’m really excited to try the next time I go! When you go you have to order their carrot cake it is so Devine! Definitely for people that love rich cake!! They are a bit difficult to find on google maps but if you know where Medihair is then you will find it!

Have now been to Heavenly Coffees twice, both time for a takeaway. What an excellent experience! Great vibe in the store, friendly staff and very competent. And the coffee!? Wow!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go have a sit down meal in the little cafe in back.

Great service, beautiful atmosphere, and the coffees are heavenly. The lemon meringue was divine.

A coffee fundi suggested we stop over for a cuppa. Had offered a fresh brew using old beans to him and was told that it was tantamount to sacrilege.Nothing beats a fresh roast for full depth of flavour he said.Was midday, in the middle of a heatwave, the thought of a hot brew did not do it appeal to me.Arrived there, greeted upon entering by friendly staff, needless to say, the air was permeated with freshly roasted coffee, a delight on the senses.Sat down near the aircon unit in one of the cubicles and discussed our options. Francois, the owner joined as and clarified my choices between an Iced Coffee versus a Cold Brew process. Elaborated further on how the cold brew process works, the beans used and so on.Was very interesting indeed. Cold brew it was and very pleasant drinking, fresh coffee without the heat.As for the shop, well laid out, feet passed the coffee and cakes enroute to the seating area, several content customers around, new ones arriving all the time. Was pleasantly surprised, location is a little tucked away in some side streets but well worth the visit, reasonably priced menu and coffee beans with a good variety on offer.Will certainly be going back to try some other bean and roast combinations.If you get lost, just follow your nose.

While waiting for the fixing of a cut in the tyre, we visited Heavenly Coffees for some coffee and something to nibble on. Quite a variety of coffees and we opted for cappuccinos with double espresso shots. I was a bit disappointed when I wanted to order the savoury waffles, it wasn’t available (it was photos from the previous shop). We ordered quiche (1 spinach and 1 bacon & mushroom). I enjoyed the strength of the coffee. One negative point, had to wait a bit for service and the middle of the quiche was cold.

A hidden gem in Hennopspark!The coffee and other beverages are great. But what really stood out for me on my visit was the service by the waitress. She was a scream!!! I think her name is Lethabo. She surely knows her menu and coffees and her personality really lights up the place!I will visit HC much more regularly not just for the good coffee but also for the great service!!!Love that place...!
