Hyde Park Store has incorrect time, can't be bothered to update their times.

Rude cashier with a bad attitude. Wrapped the gift for me and still left the price on when I asked her to please remove it.

I have recently visited several Poetry stores. Among them Sandton city, Hyde park, nicolway. I was amazed at the lack of interest, apathy and indifference shown by the sales assistants. The unhelpfulness made me wonder why the assistants bothered to work there. It is hardly encouraging to go in let alone buy anything!

I am not really one to get irritated with staff so quickly but i have never witnessed such blatant behavior before. The staff are blatantly rude, lazy, uninterested in anyone else but whom they prefer.They do not help you even after you ask. They are completely obnoxious to people on the store, unless its a preferred person. I love poetry as i visit Poetry in different malls. Cresta, Sandton, etc etc.Its not just poetry though, the lack of social skills and customer service in the country itself has gone to hell. You are either treated good, or really bad. And these are stores in different locations Nationwide.I will be visiting the store again, because i want to confirm if my suspicions of the staff are correct. I will update my review then.

I love poetry and usually shop at Poetry at Rosebank where I receive very good service. I unfortunately had to ho to Poetry Hyde Park as the dress I wanted was only in stock there. What an unpleasant experience from the manager of the store. She was called by the sales assistant who was very helpful to assist with a voucher query. No greeting, no eye contact, and I left with an unresolved query, with an ‘I don’t know’ to my questions pertaining to processes. I definitely left an unsatisfied customer, and won’t be back to this store- would rather have my item sent to a store I am familiar with.
