Fynbos Estate

We had the most amazing wedding day at Fynbos Estate in April 2018. Due to circumstances outside of our control we had to re-plan our destination wedding with less than 6 weeks to go. If it hadn’t been for Diana our fairy tale day would not have happened.Everything was handled very professionally, the venue is absolutely stunning, the food is to die for, and the staff who worked on the day made everything so easy for us. I cannot recommend Fynbos more highly.We used the Farmhouse accommodation for all our guests, and The Owl Cottage for me to stay and get ready in. All of our guests raved over the hospitality, and just how amazing and tranquil Fynbos is.Thank you so much for everything. You have given us a beautiful day & great memories, which we will cherish forever.

Love going to Fynbos Estate! It feels like home. I go there for a dance workshop and it is just the nicest place not far from Cape Town. The gardens are beautiful and it is just such a treat to be surrounded by all the green and nature.

Would highly recommend staying at Fynbos! Our family has enjoyed two wonderful vacations at the Estate and we already look forward to the next visit. Johan and Diana are exceptional hosts! Our favorite activites include hiking in the mountains, afternoon swims, and hanging out with the animals. Our young boys loved the dogs! Location is also great, just an hour from the airport but close to wine country with many day-trip opportunities. The accommodations are very comfortable and well equipped with friendly staff to assist. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway, this is it!

With great reluctance do I leave a 5-star review for Fynbos Estate because it means more people will get to know about the most beautiful hidden gem of a venue within 80 minutes of Cape Town. An absolutely stunning and peaceful treasure.

This is the second year we've held our teambuilding weekend at this venue. We stayed at the Farmhouse, Black Eagle and Honey Badger and I can hands down say that the Farmhouse is my favourite. It was our base for the whole weekend and so spacious that we could all gather to prep food and just chill out either on the porch or in the living room when it got too cold ( definitely used the fireplace the whole weekend lol).

Spent the weekend at Fynbos Estate as part of the Cape Town Swing Camp 2022. It was an amazing venue with a range of accommodation options to suit everyone's needs. The pavilion has a beautiful wooden floor which was ideal for dancing! Stayed at the Black Eagle Cottage which was lovely and very well organised. I look forward to visiting again!

Our wedding venue was the beautiful Fynbos Estate just outside Malmesbury. This rustic working farm held all the elements that I was looking for. Unique, beautiful views, delicious food and wine. All the hallmarks of a truly memorable occasion.I want to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to DIanne and all the wonderful staff at Fynbos Estate for making our wedding day THE BEST day of our lives.All our guests have not stopped talking about the wonderful food and wine and the beauty of the farm.Our little cottage that we stayed in was perfect! I cannot wait to go back

My family has visited this farm and its beautiful nature reserve several times over the years and we have stayed in the 100-year-old farmhouse and the newer cottages. All the accommodation on offer is comfortable, spacious and thoughtfully furnished. Although this is a working farm, as a guest one gets to experience it as a place of peace and tranquillity and we always leave it sad but rejuvenated.Johan and Diana are exceptional hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food and wine are in a class of their own and it’s worth taking a drive out just to try them. The road up to the farm is absolutely no different from other farm roads and overall it is hard to believe that such a haven exists only an hour from Cape Town.

As I know from my own experience, Fynbos Estate is an ideal venue for workshops of all kinds. The most recent group-based event I conducted there (in September 2021) was research based, involving such things as extensive discussions and painstaking interviews, preceded and followed by the need for careful reflection. This required an environment that was quiet, tranquil, and comfortable; and Fynbos Estate, with its wide variety of venues and spaces, provided all that. Equally important, the Estate’s catering and recreational facilities are outstanding, which meant that it was able to meet all the needs of the participants for food, drink, wonderfully recreative walks, and so on..The place is idyllic, too. The farm – which encompasses a mountain nature reserve – has extraordinary natural beauty, the accommodation is aesthetically (and comfortably) designed, and Diana and Johan are warm and welcoming hosts What's more, the Estate is just an hour out of Cape Town, easy to find, and the road is excellent the entire way.I’ll definitely be back! Very strongly recommended.
