I've been looking for a good hairdressers for a long time and was super lucky to find Carli at this cozy spot. Renamed to H202, the salon is very professional and runs like a well-oiled machine!Considering her color and cut expertise, the costs are very fair. I paid R1250 for treatment, cut, full head highlights, and a few streaks of funky colors!Carli is my new hairdresser now!

The salon is beautiful and the staff friendly, but I had a bit of a weird and disappointing experience. When I arrived the lady at reception led me to the waiting area, where I took a seat with my back to the salon.I waited a short while, but without being address I was taken aback by someone pulling my hair. Turned out the hairdresser told the girl to wash my hair, but didn't bother to talk to or acknowledge me at all. The wash was a bit awkward and rough, but the girl was friendly.The girl then took me to a seat in front of a mirror, but once again I was told nothing and left to wait. I waited 20 minutes before anyone spoke to me. This was rather bewildering because when the hairdresser attended to me he was clearly rushed and dove into my hair, without any introduction or discussion about how I want my hair to be done.I mentioned that I have curly hair, but want a layered cut because I have had trouble in the past with blunt cuts that ended up looking bulky and triangular. The hairdresser immediately started explaining that everyone is doing it wrong and that curly hair should be thinned out - but from the inside out. So, that's what he did - in excess and that is all he did.The frustrating thing is that he thinned out my hair, and gave elaborate tips on how I should wash, style and dry my hair without actually cutting the ends (and it's been months since my last haircut so now I'm stuck with dry tips). I had no time to remind him that he didn't actually cut my hair and left in a hurry. But now, 3 weeks later my hair is in a horrible state - super thin, whispy with dry tips and it looks worse than it did before the cut.After the appointment I did phone to schedule an actual cut, the lady on the phone sounded a bit confused but made it anyway. I had to cancel my appointment because I just didn't have the time.Like I said the staff were all friendly, but I feel it's just too big a risk and waste of money to go back.

Excellent service, staff friendly service was excellent, Joey the hair stylist, who assisted me is the very best with color treatment of blond hair, bleach and tint and treatment cut and blow wave. I highly recommend Scissor on Main especially Joey the hair stylist

I honestly could not ask for a better hair dresser than Antoinette I always walk out with a smile on my face. it's as if she can read minds and just always cuts my hair exactly how I want it. She is very careful with getting a persons hair precisely how they want it, and the appointments are always accompanied by a friendly smile and attitude from all the staff. The employees always go over and above what is expected.

I've been going to Scissors for years and have never had a bad experience. Great service and very reasonable prices. Fireplace in the winter and lovely outdoor seating in the summer.
