Great camp ground. Especially if you have a boat. It van be moored close to you caravan. Unique setting with stunning views. Knysna Loerie nesting in trees above.

Had a great Easter weekend with the family at Island Lake. Lots of water-skiing, kayaking and SUP time. Bit of rain did not dampen the fun we had.

The rondawels are simple and don't have bathrooms, but the rest of the camp site is amazing: Large grassy site, good tree cover and a beautiful lake for skiing, fishing, sailing, padding, swimming, birding, etc. All round a great place to relax with family and friends.

Beautiful setting but we weren't informed of the algae bloom that prevented us fro using the lake.We wanted to stay for the week but then priority was given to weekend campers so we had to pack up and move to plett, which was much better in the end.Thank you for your hospitality.

Unbelievably awesome camping spot with comfortable rondawels all boasting spectacular views over a pristine lake, with bird life galore. Not only are the view and surroundings spectacular, the management is world class. Bathrooms are serviced multiple times daily, walls freshly painted, tiles new and sparkling, the lawn is raked and clean, the bedding is crispy clean, the inventory is complete, just to mention a few of managements master strokes. Truly exemplary. Thanks for blessing us with this place and your heartfelt professional management
