It was my first time going to Rosehope.I must say that the units are very nice and spacious with a beautiful garden. It's also close to the university, local restaurants and on the transport route.

Very convenient if you're enrolling at the University of Cape Town. Shops on main road are 10mins walk, and that's a plus. Also, surroundings, that is, the gardens, lawns and corridors are always tidy. However, security may be an issue since a turnslide is used. This may mean people may grant unauthorised people access. Moreover, the maintenance is taken lightly, that is, issues that need maintenance take forever to be addressed

The apartments are well equipped with spacious rooms n a good kitchenette. The lawns are cool with trees even for sunny days.

Costs quite a bit but if you get roommates you can get a pretty lovely apartment for about R4000 to R5000 a month per person. That's around R14000 to R20000 a month. It's right behind UCT so it's nicely situared for students.
