Nice kept very clean with friendly staff. The main reason for a visit here is to see the feeding of the fresh water eels. This happens daily at 11h00. There is also a restaurant and nice picnic tables underneath big trees. Kids love the trip and it is quite interesting for the adults. The eel feeding lasts about 25-30min.

I always love discovering hidden little gems. The knowledge and heritage encapsulated within these walls were amazing.It got better at the shop for our daughter and the best for her when we got to feed the eels. Always a highlight for us when we vacation at our home in Stillbay. Keep up the fantastic work Mariaan.

So happy we went to see the tourism bureau at stillbaai. They were so friendly and helpful and we had a great explaination while the eels were getting fed. Very interesting creatures. An unexpected great add-on to a wonderful day ar stillbay.

Helpful staff that knows anything and everything about the region. A lovely little shop where you can buy local art,souvenirs especially made for Stilbaai, handmade leather products and many other unique products you will not find elsewhere. Get to feed and see tamed palings/eels’. You can buy a holiday guide here which has all the information you need for a pleasant holiday. You can even have a bite and something to drink at the coffee shop. Relax under beautiful trees and enjoy the view.

Very short tour, but appropriate to the fee charged. You don't actually get to feed the eels and there is no limit of people for the feeding tour so it got overwhelming. The little museum is cute and a nice quick walk through.

What a pure gem of local history!They are also a tourist attraction, at 11h00 you are able to see/hand-fed the only tame eels in South Africa.Highly recommend this for any one especially for families with kids! They will teach you all about the Eel's, as why they are there! Not expensive and staff is also very friendly and willing to give everyone a opportunity to feed an Eel!

Loved feeding the eels! Such a special experience and a interesting and informative talk about these amazing animals. Very friendly staff. Interesting history and beautiful photos in the little museum.
