Many species of birds available to see. Cages are kept clean and neat. The play park is loads of fun for young and old alike. Prices at the cafe is reasonable. We enjoyed our time there tremendously!

Child-friendly location with creative activities. Lovely variety of birds. Some birds are talkative and will answer back. Definitely worth a visit for animal lovers as there is even a farm with chickens, bunnies, a donkey and ostriches. Slides, board games, and a large saxophone is one of the many activities. Strongly advise travellers to support this bird park for only R25 as it is a small price to pay for the vary of things to see and do. Lunch can also be bought on site.

Had a pleasant family outing, kids enjoyed the zip-line and the feeding of the birds. Major ant problem in the kids play area. Staff need a bit of friendliness training. Overall it was nice and we will be back.

What a wonderful time we had here. Many species of birds, quiet ambiance. The restaurant menu is simple and reasonably prepared and the prices are low. The Avery is extensive and diverse. I loved the visit.

For beautiful birds and relaxing gardens, this should be on your list for places to visit. They also have a classically furnished guest house - one of the oldest buildings in the greater St Lucia area.

Beautiful place for only R25 entry (in Jan 2021) it was well worth it such a variety of bird species and very child friendly great atmosphere. They are clearly rehabilitating a lot of foreign birds and doing a really good job the animals seem very happy there.
