Don't become a statistic of their extremely unprofessional service from Shomax a subsidiary of the Multichoice Group.I subscribed to Showmax Pro on 2022-11-20, with a subscription fee of R299. On 2022-11-23, Showmax twice deducted this R299 subscription fee.I’ve been communicating with Showmax agents via their inefficient online chat services to try and resolve the issue, but to no avail. An extremely rude and unprofessional agent (Lehlohonolo) ended the chat/conversation as I was responding to her. The other agent, Celumuzi with whom I interacted twice, was a bit more helpful and accommodating, but still not the best.The agents were adamant that only 1 deduction was made on my account. I provided a statement indicating the 2 deductions of R299. All transactions not applicable to the Showmax issue were redacted from the statement. This, however, was not sufficient, as an unredacted statement was required. For what reason?I’ve now been forced to go the route of having the bank with whom my account is held to intervene and have the payment reversed.I really shouldn’t be surprised considering all the unprofessional, lack of responsibility and one-minded interactions I’ve had with agents within the Multichoice Group.Extremely unsatisfactory service and a lack of responsibility for their actions.
