Yiayia's Table

What a fantastic find and what an awesome gem of a coffee shop. YiaYia’s table is found on the owner’s grandmother’s food and matriarchal love. An authentic Greek shop with fresh samples of all the Greek deserts! They have a good array of canned products, such as dolmades.The coffee shop is new and spacious. They’re a good sized tables for one to pull out a computer and your work files. Seen a few work-away-from-home types sitting there.I think that a shop like this is overdue in Rosebank. Good luck to the owners!!!

I had a good cuppachino at an affordable price, a nice menu with pastries, salads and sweets. Laptop friendly.

YIAYIA’s bake one of the best spinach and feta Spanakopita. We also enjoyed the custard filled one. The phyllo pastry is light and non greasy. Great cuppucino. Interesting history. Great to stop for coffee and snack but but for the very hungry - it's a bakery and coffee shop.

I am Greek and visited for some home comforts and everything we purchased tasted very authentic and was very good. Had a great coffee and took lots of tasty things home - will come again on another visit to Cape Town.

Every Capr Town trio needs a visit here. What incredible staff. Brought my Granny and was assisted the second we walked through the door. Helped with seating, with her walker, with pictures if the music items. Incredible experience that matches the incredible food. So so happy!!!

What a delightful addition to Durban Rd! A fabulous combination of of old world love and new school thinking! Staff are as fantastic as their menu!

Great study spot! You can choose from a variety of bakery and dessert alternatives. Feta and chives stuffed koulouri is my favorite one. Especially the warm welcome of the staff makes the difference

What a delightful gem! We heard them on the radio and went to experience for ourselves. What we discovered was some of the most delicious baking (both savoury and sweet), a great relaxed and beautiful space and warm and friendly personal attention from the owners.We started with the Cheeses-and-Herbs Tiropita Spiral with Greek coffee - both of these a first for us and so incredible! We then moved on to some of the Koulouri - which we heard boasted about on the radio - these circular, baked Greek gifts (like giant bangles). They were so tasty, so soft and succulent, and each one is under R20 - makes it so worthwhile to buy and share a few or take some home (they even have heat at home options).I reckon that only the brave and those with serious vision and an incredible, unique offering to pull it off start up a bakery-coffee shop in the middle of a pandemic! But I am so glad they did, and I will go out of my way to keep feasting at YiaYia's Table!
