An absolute spoil. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, the staff were welcoming and very attentive. A beautiful place, such attention to detail. I recommend La Residence if you feel like indulging yourself

Wow, where do I begin!When I say that I was beyond impressed with the High Tea at La Residence, I am not over exaggerating!We experienced the most amazing high tea for Mother’s Day, from being waited on like queens to the Momosa station (need I mention it was bottomless?) the staff at La Residence have thought of it all. Besides the stellar service and friendly staff, the array of sweet and savory dishes were phenomenal, and don’t think they are stingy either, each person gets more than one bite of each dish, meaning there is plenty to go around. There are over 5 different teas available, and if you’re not a tea drinker, fret not, a variety of coffees and other hot drinks are on offer too (once again, need I mention, bottomless?). There truly are no limits when it comes to the value for money that this high tea offers. The staff go above and beyond to make your time with them special, and really do treat you like royalty. All expectations I had for the day were surpassed, ten fold!I honestly can not recommend this enough. Trust me when I say, we will be back!Thank you to all the wonderful staff at La Residence for really making this a Mother’s Day to remember!

I celebrated my 30th birthday there and booked the afternoon high tea. Beautiful views, great service, the food was amazing.Definitely going there again.

Wine options are great too.Tea manu is a pleasant surprize (& the way tea is served)Staff is excellentHave had good experiences here each time.The peacocks are a treat too.Oh- and the decor!! You had me at decor! Gardens also absolutely beautiful.Make a point of visiting them

Elegant, old world charm. Warm and inviting. Incredible service. Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting. You never want to leave.First stayed: 15 April 2022We loved every moment of this stay. We were in room six, which had fantastic views, and was very spacious.Every member of staff we engaged with was wonderful to us, and seemed entirely focused on ensuring we had an excellent weekend.Loved the breakfast. Eggs Benedict (with the bacon done exactly as I requested) was perfection.One small wish: The restaurant wine list needs more white blends.Highly recommended. 5 / 5

What an absolutely fabulous piece of tranquility, so close to Cape Town! It feels like home. Staff are super friendly, attentive and caring. Rooms are carefully and tastefully decorated, with personalised themes. Lovely grounds to walk, shuttle to town/ wine tram and carefully prepared delicious meals. High tea was a big hit! Caution, don't plan a big dinner after it though. Just marvellous.

What a gorgeous hotel! We went for afternoon tea and it was simply sublime.

Marvelous infrastructure and landscape. Nice buffet and a la carte breakfast. Only disturbed by occasional peacock noises during the day. Beautiful birds but very annoying. So happy they sleep at night. The management puts efforts into making this place cozy.

La Residence is the perfect oasis amidst the gorgeous vineyards and mountains of Franschhoek to elope! The hotel showcases old world charm and the friendly staff goes the extra mile - you will not want to leave. As a photographer you want your clients to experience the best South African hospitality has to offer and La Residence sets the bar extra high. They treated my couple who travelled to South Africa from the States with so much love and excitement, I could not think of a better place to say I Do! I can highly recommend this location for anyone who is planning a wedding or elopement. You will be treated like royalty.
