The most peaceful camping site ever!Mountain, river and eland.The grass is cut and the ablutions are clean with hot water showers and flushing toilets.No electricity.Chalets also available.

It's a lovely place, right under the Maloti Mountains. Rich with mountains, waterfalls, and natural pools. You can choose to walk or bike in their lovely trails. They have rustic cabins and caves, just choose your adventure and enjoy.

Great place, friendly staff and amazing surroundings. One of the highlights of our (too short) south african trip. The river was very pleasant to fish and they seem to stock it generously (I am presuming this because I feel like it gets too hot for the trout to survive year round). If you take your time, getting there with a 2wd was not a problem (but this could change with a severe thunderstorm so always good to check before going I guess).

The road to get there is a bit rough but normal cars can still get there, although driving very slow in places.Very peaceful. Nice hiking routes and refreshing cold river. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place.The cottages have everything you need, nothing luxury but comfortable. In winter take enough wood for the fireplace of you stay in the 6 bed or larges cottages.The kitchen has everything, gas stove, fridge, freezer in the bigger cottages and freezer availability for the smaller cottages.The staff are very friendly and helpful, I will be back.

Would return anytime!!! Super Friendly Staff! Superb views! Great hiking trails. Full on peace when you are here. Ezemvelo is THE BEST!! Was forsure a highlight on our trip!!! Was worried about the cleanliness that far out from civilization, but we were truely suprised! The camp Manager is great!

What a wonderful place! Cottages just been revamped. New crockery and pots were brought in on Christmas day. Views are stunning from the bedroom window. Wildlife plentiful. Hikes and pools were a definite eye opener. Definitely on the cards to visit again.

This place litteraly is heaven on earth ! So peaceful, so beautiful ! Great fishing and hiking spots, really a great place to have a good time with your loved one with sunsets and sunrises that just feal unreal ! Staff was really gentle and helpful and the road to go is actually really great ! (We saw a lot of comments about a shady gravel road but there seems to have some changes regarding this!)

Rustic bliss. Despite snow falling on the range, the chalet was cosy with the fire going. Gas geysers for instant hot water and kitchen satisfactorily equipped. Extra blankets were supplied in case we needed (which we didn't). Perfect place for a digital detox! Will be back.

Had a great time .It suits those that love to go back in time and enjoy the rustic life. No electricity, Everything runs of generator and gas . Generator goes out at 10pm and is switched back on at 8am . There is little to no internet connection on the premises. Some amazing untouched scenic hike with amazing waterfalls. A must visit .

We go there since more than a decade every year. For the wilderness and beauty, not luxury and entertainment. If you love uncommercialised wilderness, than it will be your place. But be prepared for mountain weather changes, especially the hectic storms that will ripp your average gazebo apart if you camp.And the reserve crew does a good job, given the financial limitations there are.
