I purchased a Haval Jolion 1.5 2021 model with 9800km on the clock on the 22nd December 2022. The entire pre-sales experience was great and Ryno was extremely helpful and efficient however once the papers are signed and the money is in their bank, then its a different story! It took almost a month to get my licence disc and number plates as well as have my car buffed as there were marks on it when taking delivery of the vehicle. I had no issue with this as I know it was festive season and understood that there was a backlog. Not even 2 months after purchasing the vehicle I noticed that my car was losing water. I kept an eye on it and eventually after a week of filling up the water every 3-4 days I called to book the vehicle into Haval as I knew something wasn't right. I couldn't get a booking for 2 weeks so was forced to drive my new vehicle as little as possible and continuously fill up the water every 2 days. I took my car in on the 22nd March to Haval and after a few hours was told that the gearbox cooler pipe and hose were badly torn and damaged and possibly due to poor workmanship from when the car was previously worked on. When I was in the process of purchasing the vehicle I requested to see the Dekra report for the vehicle and was told in writing that one wasnt done as Haval Stellenbosch had confirmed that all was in order with the vehicle and it wasnt required. I have since spoken to other dealerships and all pre-owned vehicles are required to have a Dekra report done and this could've prevented this entire saga that I now sit in! 3 weeks later and I sit without a car that I'm still paying for every month because the new parts that are needed to replace the defect parts are only arriving in South Africa on 28th April. When I brought this matter to the attention of Chery Stellenbosch, straight away I was told the defect wasn't there when they sold the car to me and they couldn't help me! Great after sales service! Its 100% clear that the after sales service of Chery Stellenbosch is non-existent and its all about the pre-sales and getting the money in as the dealer principal who was copied into all correspondence didnt even have the decency to pick up the phone and call me! I requested assistance with a courtesy car and was told its not their problem. I am waiting for my vehicle to be checked thoroughly to ensure that there are no other defects otherwise I will be returning my vehicle for a full refund and I recommend that anyone considering it stay away from this dealership unless you want endless issues after spending your hard earned money!

On the 26 th of November 2022 MARLON MAASDORP came to our home to demonstrate this car to us. We were very impressed with his presentation and immediately paid a deposit and traded my car in with them. On the 29th of November they delivered the car to my home. One week later they had to fetch the car to repair rear break lights. I was in constant communication with him for the number plates and tracker installation. Only to be lied to and given false information. On the 3 rd of January I contacted him again and he said that he would the car registered by the 6 th of Jan( Last friday). On Tuesday the 10th of January he informed me that his driver is at the traffic department to register the car!!!!! Today is the 12 th of Jan and finally the tracker was installed this morning. SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!! Still have not received nr plates because the car has to fetched for a roadworthy certificate. So how does this take so long? Absolute shameful after sales service from Group 1 Chery Stellenbosch. I also had a conversation with Johan??? Which I never heard from again. When this is over I will never do business with them again.Quick to make a sale but shocking after sales service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP.

Absolutely terrible service I've received ever since I bought this Chery Tiggo4 pro.Nothing about this experience has been pleasant.I'm on Issue number 4 in the 3 months I've owned it the vehicle.Now after the 5000km service the car leaks oil. This is absolutely crazy and ridiculous. And the customers service I've received from Marlon makes me never wanting to ever go back to chery stellenbosch.

A quick sale and that's the easiest of the journey with Group 1 Cherry Stellenbosch. Been a struggle with service and commitment. One builds a relationship with your client, not break one down. From the FandI giving me one installment to the contract stating another. To the verbal agreement of a trade in not loaded to an unexplained contract. Emails to and fro. Finance house stating proof of Insurance not loaded. When delivery wasn't taken without it. I understood. Things happen. And now one month of waiting for number plates and they just don't seem worried. I don't know when and if I am going to get my number plates. I requested a number switch also which probably doesnt matter to them. They don't have the decency to communicate or even acknowledge receipt of your emails.
