Had a weird electrical issue, thought it was the alternator. It was a bad starter solenoid connector. They were quick, knowledgable and even showed me the problem on my car in the workshop. Can't recommend them enough.

Received excellent service from Alicia and Henk. I spoke to Alicia and they were very keen help and go the extra mile. Henk phoned me and explained what the issue could have been and provided sound advice. Will definitely go there again. Keep up the good work!

A while ago I went to Mette’s Auto Electrical, since there was a problem with my car’s airconditioner. The lady at the front desk was quite rude, so I decided to use another place instead.

I had to get my trailer / car lights sorted in very short time before the holiday rush. Right from the outset they were courteous, professional and seemed keen to help. They even accommodated me on the public holiday (16th Dec). When I arrived nothing was too much trouble, someone attended to me right away. They quickly understood the problem and 2 hours later everything was fixed and the bill was WAY less than what I expected; especially since they replaced some parts and it was a public holiday. I was referred to them by my neighbor and I would not hesitate to refer Mette's Auto to anyone with car / trailer electrical faults. Thanks Mette's

Claus-Peters and his team are excellent service providers. They fitted running lights to my Triumph Tiger 1050. A few weeks later they rectified some errors that a different service provider had made when servicing my Land Rover Discovery 4.Excellent work ethic by quality technicians!!I highly recommend them for any mechanical and/or auto electrical needs.

Having spent 5 years driving my 29 year old Land Rover around Africa visiting nearly every country and patching her up along the way at various local mechanics, she needed a complete electrical overhaul and mechanical attention.Serious overlanders suggested talking to Claus-Peter at Mettes as they are an ‘institution in Stellenbosch’ having been family run there since the 70’s and their wiring was described as ‘a work of art’.So it proved and more. They greeted me with genuine kindness and compassion, loved my battered Landy, helped me refine my slightly wayward plans with their 150+ years of combined experience, all whilst treating me with honesty, thoughtfulness and ultra professionalism.The work carried is incredibly neat and matched my requirements exactly. We completely replaced every wire in my Landy, and then installed a dual battery ctek system with Smartpass and solar, all without bowing a single fuse, and I’ve had no issues since.During this time many other customers came and went, from small family run arounds, high end saloons, classic Alfa’s, a 1950’s Ford pick up and a lot of 4x4’s. Claus-Peters team have all worked for him for many years, some for his father before him , and so have the same Germanic attention to detail. There desire to genuinely help each customer also really shone through.As is obvious, I can’t praise them highly enough. It’s difficult performing auto electrical and mechanical work on such a variety of vehicles to high standards, but to do it with such humanity and honesty is rare nowadays. Certainly the best workshop I’ve used in Africa.

Without a doubt the BEST service in town... Our second-hand bought car has been giving issues since we got it and the owner and his staff has gone out of their way to bring it up to scratch. Friendly and efficient staff, from reception right through to the (sparkling clean!) workshop. 10/10, definitely recommended!
